Hmmm, Well i think the NX console is being released due to the overall sales of the Wii U, i'm not saying the Wii U was a failure, but it could have been marketed better! At the start of the release of the Wii U they did not market it right and they, in terms of sales, are only making that loss back quite slowly, the amount of units sold were almost nothing in comparison to the PS4 and Xbox1, which isn't their fault in a way due to Triple A titles not wanting to be produced on the Wii U( although i heard that Nintendo's 3rd party system is kind of terrible anyway) which puts people off buying the Wii U unless they are looking to play the Nintendo exclusive games such as SSB4 or XenoBlade Chronicles. At this Current time i think they have realised this flaw and are looking to move away from the Wii U as soon as possible to try and get back on track and start earning money again, however, with all console, Gaming companies like Nintendo have to realise that each console they produce should have at least a 5 year production span, so that people get their money's worth from the console, if they were to release it now there would be an outrage from people who payed £300 for a console that would be deemed outdated and a waste of money in comparison to the NX, so they shouldn't release the NX until at least 2017.
With all of this being said, they want to keep creating games for the console for a few reasons, one being that they do want people who still buy the Wii U console to have new games to play on and increase sales, another reason being that, they literally have no released plans or content or anything to do with the NX console, just the name, so why would they stop creating games for the wii u when there is no released plans for the NX anyway
They may indeed create remakes for the NX console, but we can only see if that is possible when we find out what kind of hardware it is, it could range from being a home console like the Wii U to an oculus rift type headset to another handheld device, although considering the span and sales it would be the home console most likely. It is always possible for Nintendo to do remakes, we just have to keep giving them suggestions and hope that they listen (づ。●ω●。)づ
