first of all if you haven't read my thread here it is ishttp://forum.3dspedia.com/posts/453748/ so if you read it you would know nintendo and apple are teaming up to make super Mario run and nintendo is doing this for more than one reason to improve sales for the nx because if a casual gamer like super Mario run but want the full experience they would buy a nintendo nx or a nintendo console i would include more but than this may get to long

Nintendo can increase their brand awareness for the casual (read: biggest) market with simple mobile games, while also making money on the side this way. Increasing their brand awareness will also increase awareness of their main consoles and games, thus also increasing sales.

Pokemon XY and ORAS sales spiked thanks to Pokemon GO, remember, these are games released early on and mid-way through the 3DS' lifespan, and they got more sales. Imagine what this would mean for advertising newer titles.
