Currently I own a Nintendo switch with about 30+ digital titles. I'll be posting the game list for anyone who would like a review that is spoiler free before purchasing said game.

I'm not a game critic by any means but I will do my best.

Ps, I have played on PC for many years so I will refer to graphics effects and framerate in docked and handheld.

With that being said, here is the list of games that I have COMPLETED or put over 100 hours into.

Mario Kart 8 deluxe
Doom
Fortnite
Code of princess ex
Paladins
Payday 2
Bayonetta
Bayonetta 2
Rocket league
Fire emblem warriors
Xenoblade 2
Wolfenstein 2
Splatoon 2
Slain
Nights of Azure 2
Minecraft
Fast rmx

Oh jeez, you have the switch version of Payday 2? I though most people stayed away from that from what I heard considering out insanely outdated it is, buggy and just not very well made it is for the switch port.

To be honest with you, it does have issues such as framerate dips below 30fps, which is caused by not using resolution scaling like doom or wolfenstein (runs at a solid 720p in handheld all the time and 900p in docked)
it is outdated in the scense that we are missing SOME of the newer content. But in saying that, you still get about 60 different mission types, the timed exclusive character, and it is being updated still :) I do want to take a minute to point out that EVERY CONSOLE is outdated compared to the PC edition, so the argument people have with content missing is sort of unfair.

Back on topic though, this game does run better in handheld mode then in docked (for most missions)

All in all, this game is fully playable in the state it's in. I personally won't play a game if the fps is constantly under 30fps and i will deem it unplayable (looking at you Nights of Azure 2 in handheld) but the frame dips are nothing below 25fps then it spikes back to 30.

The John Wick Heists were released February 9th, 2017. The Switch version, on release, is already over a year outdated. No Crime Spree. No AI Henchmen. No Desync Update. Four characters, three perk decks, 16 guns, 8 melee weapons, 2 grenades, 9 heists, at LEAST 50 masks, countless bug fixes and optimizations (when I say countless, I mean it. Easily over 200) just… missing.

Not to mention the game heavily requires communication during co-op and that's just really not easily done on the switch. This version of PD2 is the most outdated out of all the other console versions of the game.

Without AI (Something which I didn't realise the game didn't have until just now) it's gonna make single-play much harder/annoying as well since instead of getting AI to help distract, or help move around bags, you can't.

In an official announcement, the launch version was the "Most Wanted" update, which is version 117. At the time of realease (end of feb) the pc version would have been on around version 170-175. That's quite a massive leap.

To someone who's played hundreds upon hundreds of hours on the PC version, I wouldn't say that the switch version is really worth the price.

I totally understand that. I guess my view comes from NEVER playing payday 2 until switch. Also there is AI that is fairly useful, but definitely not worth getting hyped over. They don't move bags, but they do help distract enemies. I never realized how far back the updates were! But in saying that, I'm not surprised that they are behind so far. It's on a hybrid console.

I understand what you mean by not being worth the price as a PC owner, but for newcomers of the game, I feel it packs ALOT of content.

Also, the lack of voice chat really interferes with the overall gameplay, you rely on calling your teammates and shooting them as your communication which sucks alot. I'm hoping they do what fortnite did and just add voice chat specifically for the game.

The AI doesn't pick up bags naturally, instead you throw the bags at them and they'll carry them that way.

I guess yeah, for a newcomer it's not terrible. But it really isn't the best version, even the other console versions are pretty much mostly up-to-date with the PC version. I wonder, does the switch version have the safe house + all the things with continental coins? I can't remember what update that was added in.

We do have the safehouse for sure, but I'm not sure about the continental coins. That doesn't ring a bell at all.

And seriously? You can throw stuff at the ai to carry? That's sweet Ty for the info!!!

Huh, Wait so describe the safe house you currently have? Cause the safe house got updated and had the continental coins added in the event that lasted from October 7 to October 16 2016 on the PC version. Do you have Aldstone the butler in your version of the safe house?

No we don't. Tbh it's VERY basic. A shooting range, vault for money, crime.net station. Tbh I have only been there once. Im always playing heists. I'll check it out later and give you more details

Is it this safe house?
Cause if so that's really interesting. Yet makes a bit of sense since John Wick isn't in the switch version right? And the new safe house has quite a bit for John Wick + The fact that the continental coins themselves are a HUUUUGEEEEE reference to the John Wick films.

That is the safehouse for sure. But we do have the John wick playable character :p I'll take some screenshots for you and post them here for you

What the hell is up with the switch version then. This has completely confused me now. They have incredibly old builds of things, but then there's also John Wick? So, what?!

This build doesn't even make ANY sense lore wise now!

Lol those images take me back a bit :rotfl: also god that menu.

We're probably getting wildly off-topic now though, but really though, this version of the switch version makes 0 sense lore-wise now and has fully confused me lol. If you like it though I would 100% recommend picking it up on PC, especially since now all the DLC comes with it instead of it all being paid xD

Tbh I love it. Never thought I would, but it's become one of my favorite coop shooters. When I get my PC built I'll pick it up for sure

I dunno if this is the kinda horror you like but I really like FNAF sister location. I like it because its the only fnaf game where once you know what your doing it isn’t super difficult, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t scared and anxious the entire time you worry that you will make a mistake.

Being real with you, I've never played a single one of those games. It developed way to much hype for what it was and sort of ruined the experience for me. I may give it a try at some point though. It looked pretty cool :) I honestly don't really care about gameplay types when it comes to horror games, I just like being scared out of my chair :p

Eh, Imo FNAF was only good for the lore and theorising. There's "FNAF clones" out there that are way more fun then the actual FNAF games imo.

If you want to play a FNAF game though, start with the original then if you like that play through them or just go to FNAF 6 (free on steam) then Ultimate Custom Night (Also free on steam). Sister Location is a unique one as it's a kinda spin off (Same with FNAF 6 I guess).

For "FNAF clones", The Joy of Creation and Those Nights at Rachel's I both recommend. They're also both free on GameJolt.
