Super Smash Bros. is a series that brings the magic of Nintendo characters and the mechanics of Street Fighter and meshes them together. It is a platformer fighting game in it's purest form. But it is exclusive to N64, GC, Wii/Wii U and 3DS, however, quite a few games can replicate the gameplay on PC. The following games are Smash Bros. lookalikes with awesome gameplay.

An infamous game that went Open Beta less than a week ago, Brawlhalla is an advanced but fun brawler that replicates the frantic gameplay of Smash to a T, and believe it or not is free to play! It's good. Really good. http://store.steampowered.com/app/291550/

Super Smash Flash 2. The sequel to the living legend that haunts the internet and is just the worst. Goku, Ichigo and Sora, as well as some other guests come together to fight. And it's in your browser! But it isn't completely finished yet. http://www.mcleodgaming.com/viewflash.php?id=6&type=game

Super Smash Land is basically Smash Brothers on N64 if the N64 was the Gameboy instead. And considering this game has 6 characters crammed in (Mario, Link, Kirby, Pikachu, Mega Man and... Vaporeon?) this game is awesome. http://www.supersmashland.com/

Finally, we come to Super Smash Bros. Crusade. This game has around 60 characters, the speedy mechanics of Melee and the next update is adding the living myth, Shantae. However, it's isn't finished either. http://www.indiedb.com/games/super-smash-bros-crusade/downloads/ssb-crusade-v09

Well... there you go.

Another good PC game thats similar to smash is Rivals of Aether on steam. Although it doesnt feature nintendo's top stars, the game mechanics and concept is basically like that of smash. There are only a few minor differences but everything else is pretty much the same. Even some of the moves are similar to that of SSB, such as Zeterburn's Up B. This game came out on steam like a month ago and it's starting to get really popular too, which is great because the game is a lot of fun espeicially when playing online.

Wow, I knew about all of them (and have been playing SSF2 for a long time) except Crusade... and it looks like the best of them all!
I'll definitely check this out, thanks for sharing ^^

edit Lol, I have mixed feelings about Crusade :p
It seems like people wanted Melee gameplay but got weird physics instead and forgot to hire artists, so you're actually wavedashing with a drawing made by a 6 year old kid and as soon as you are in the air you have no clue what you are doing.
But yeah, some sprites are good though, Mario looks great. But Jigglypuff doesn't look really serious (even though it's hard to fail a Jigglypuff) a Falco cosplayer who couldn't be a good actor if his life was at stake.
SSF2 is a lot better done... but no wavedashing, less characters and mostly weak hitboxes.

There's also this Smash Bros like game called Jump Ultimate Stars on the DS. Buts it's a Japan exclusive game where it puts famous Shonen Jump characters in a Smash like arena.

After the sepia go craze I looked through the chinese foreign mobile market and found a Nintendo knockoff that was even bad infact it was somewhat creative. Imagine super smash bros, paper Mario, the original rpg style mixed together into a mobile app. In the apps it doesn't only include characters currently in the current smash it includes characters from twilight princess like midna with wolf link, charmander from pokemon, amy from sonic, ect. Though you can't really control what the characters do in the game. Choose what chracters you want to fight against your team and watch them fight. I know it sounds boring though I kinda like the app and how they tried to atleast make it original.

There is also an Unblocked version of SSF2 available for if you're slacking off or done early in school.

Super Smash Flash is a pretty cool game! I used to play it with a friend sometimes when we volunteered at the library together. It was always a little awkward playing on one keyboard, but it was fun nevertheless. Other than that though, I've never really played it.

Actually, while I do have a 3DS I still (sometimes) play "Super Smash Flash 2!" because I want to see what they have added, etc.
Although I do prefer the official smash bros games because well... those versions are from Nintendo which means it's a official version of course :)
Thanks for sharing this thread, "BanjoKazooie3DSConfirmed"!
I think it will help anyone who still wants smash bros but on their Computer / PC!
PS: I like your nickname, BanjoKazzoie3DSConfirmed, it's funny and catchy at the same time ;)

Yeah, that game is pretty rad. ^~^

Wait... Didn't Nintendo crack down on all flash games with their likeness? (With the acception of RoA, and Brawlhalla, because they don't have Nintendo's likeness.)
