Doesn't look like Octopath Traveler is getting any DLC EVER according to an interview with Dengeki Online.

We haven’t even thought of having DLC. The retail version is a complete game.
Anyone disappointed? :redpanda:

I am absolutely not disappointed. Props to SE for making a complete game and not selling half a game with the promise of dlc later to finish it. Plus I am a huge fan of having the entire game on a cartridge immediately, no download shenangans. Definately going to pick up this game now, really hoping it’s good.

Good. I'm over publishers selling incomplete games (with the exception of patches).

They have been working on this for so long, there is no way they were even considering making dlc. This however, does not mean they won’t start making some if there is major success. Just because its a complete standalone game doesn’t mean that they can’t have dlc, it just means any dlc is not necessary to fully enjoy the game.

Good!
While I'm not totally against DLC, I'm always happy when a game is complete as it is.

It's pretty refreshing not to have to worry about upcoming dlc for a game. Hopefully whatever new ideas they come up with now make their way into their next game.

cool, it nice to see they wont make something like Final fantasy XV again and his lots of dlc
