Hey everyone, today I will get my Pokemon X, which I bought for 35 Euros, finally found it cheap, because everywhere I looked, everybody asks abou 50 Euros for any Pokemon game... So I wanted to ask, what do I need to do for breeding pokemon, because I really want to participate in leagues, contest and gym battles. Do I need firstly to finish the game?
 
For breeding you will need to be able to put pokémon in the daycare. The daycare is on route 7. While you do not have to defeat the league first you will have to get rid of the blockade at the bridge (I won't spoil what's blocking it) after the Berry farm. Just get playing and you'll find yourself at the daycare soon enough. ;)

IVs and EVs: I think @Marc would be the best in explaining those but I'll see if I can find a guide.
Egg moves: Moves you can only get on a pokémon by breeding.
HA: short for Hidden Abilities. Abilities that are very hard to get. A lot of safari pokémon are HA.

To IV breed, all you have to do is breed a Pokemon with a 6 IV Ditto (you can buy one from the Nookling Junction). You'll want a perfect 5 IV offspring so you can keep swapping the parent Pokemon and leaving it with the 6 IV Ditto.

You'll need items attached to the Pokemon while breeding too :
  • Destiny Knot - Best for the Ditto.
  • Everstone - To pass down the nature of the parent Pokemon.
Before you start IV breeding, you can obtain the parent Pokemon with the right nature by using a Ditto with the right nature and an everstone to pass down the nature, so your offspring will have the nature that you want to breed with the 6 IV Ditto.

No problem and yes anything except for the legendaries (except for manaphy strange enough that one can breed)

Yup, once they can make an egg of course (not like most legendary Pokemon, Ditto itself, etc).

Well thats really interesting :D Because I only played Green Leaf and Sapphire on my GBA SP, and i thing there was no ability to breed pokemons or i am mistaking, couze i hadn't thought of searching on internet about that in GBA versions :D I do some searching now, it soumds really interesting thing :D
