Do you feel that they get in your way? or do you manage to avoid them? Some of them are really annoying, I must say.
 
The ones that annoy me the most are the penguins on N64 Sherbet Land and the crabs on GBA Shy Guy Beach. Like seriously, GET OUT OF MY WAY!!! D:< But no, they don't get out of your way. Instead they just walk into you lol.
 
I feel obstacles in MarioKart are pretty easy to avoid and rarely affect you unless you are forced into them (by a shell or another racer). The only pronounced obstacle I can think of is the swamp in the Luigi's Mansion course. Every other obstacle is really just there as scenery more than anything.
 
I always hated obstacles that move alot when you are just trying to get through an area in Mario Kart. I don't like the Penguins in Sherbert Land, and not even the Snowmen in the other Snow Level. There are also those obstacles that you can't get away from, like the escalators in Coconut Mall. If you chose the one going down, you may be there for a while.
 
Obstacles in Mario Kart games never seem to be much of a problem to me any at all :p Some of them and other hazards were pretty annoying but eventually you'd get used to it and soon by then, learn to avoid them effectively. Asides, I've never found it too much trouble.
