Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire or X and Y

I got my 3ds a few months ago and was wondering with Pokemon title would you guys recommend?
I've seen some reviews on YouTube and found out ORAS are 3d remakes of the Game boy titles and X and Y are on a different story.

Depends on what you like doing the most post-game. X/Y have the restaurants, PR videos, fashion, etc. and OR/AS have things mostly revolving around battling and gathering Pokemon (move tutors, mirage islands, tons of Legendaries, etc.). Depends on what you are most into. If you can afford it, get one of each pair!

Personally I would go for X or Y first if you are more into the story and decorating your character and all that stuff. But if you like collecting all the Pokemon, competitive battling or making a secret base I would go for ORAS. I voted all three on your pole

I've read a similar post like yours that was posted a year ago or so. Someone had said that if you want to get started with the 6th generation, start with X and/or Y or if you had previously played Pokémon R/S/E, then go for 3rd gen. remakes. I think either would be a good choice IMO.

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire ftw! To be honest when I played X/Y I didn't really feel like I was playing a Pokemon game, The Elite Four and everything else was too easy. ORAS was enjoyable cause it brings me back so much memories when I played Ruby/Sapphire.I really liked how the towns/cities looked in 3D. The features were great too!

I'd say get OR/AS if you're into battling, as mentioned above, though I can't really give a non-biased answer because I've only played XY on a friends DS, and not for very long, although, the one feature I loved in ORAS was the Eon Flute, it was first of all amazing to see the region I grew up with in 3D, but even better to fly around it in 3D, I mean, it was like nostalgia over something I've only experienced in my head as a kid, but the fun in flying around everywhere does kinda disappear after a while.

Personally if i have to choose between pokemon x and y or omega ruby and alpha sapphire i surely go for oras because -
It have new mega pokemon and mega stones are not exclusive
next of you can sore in sky and can visit those mirage insland
But i guess x and y graphics are little more better than oras

If you wanna go for the competitive style and the story, go for ORAS. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have much more mega stonesand legendaries. Most of the Global Link online competitions and events are also for oras only. You should also take it if you haven't played Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald, or you have and wanna play its remake for playing it again in a better way.

However, if you want more of an adventure, less of competitive play, you can pick XY. The XY events and online competitions don't come nowadays tho.

Honestly I would go with X/Y. They are the most fun to play through and I really enjoyed them. The only thing ORAS really has is a few extra megas and mirage islands.
