So I played the original Pokemon Ruby, and I was wondering if the new one is worth buying.

I would suggest that you do buy it because the game is very different from the original Pokemon Ruby and I'm sure that you'll like it . It has many post-play features and it even has some Mega Evolutions that aren't existible in the Pokemon X/Y . Also get this game if you really enjoyed Pokemon Ruby :)

Get Alpha Sapphire instead. #TeamAlphaSapphire :sneaky: (Note: I bet I'll get flamed by Omega Ruby guys)
Honestly, it was my first time touching a Gen 3 Pokémon game and I liked it. It features X/Y's features, more Mega-Stones, the famous Primal Reversion, and the Soaring in the Sky. Plus, it's not as if you could catch a bunch of legendaries in each version ;)
(Gen 4, Gen 2 and Gen 5 legendaries can be caught depending on the version. Google is your friend if you want to spoil yourself.)

Plus, I liked how the Secret Bases can take advantage of the Wi-Fi, the 3DS Camera (QR Code), and StreetPass features. It's nice as well.

i really recommend them. the wich version thing: just look at a version exclusive list and look wich pokemons you like more

their a real upgrade from the original, especially when you play competive their also nice
 
Yeah totally buy it since if you played ruby before,this game will certainly change your mind about everything you knew about and pokemon and you will be introduced to a new world and all that,if you haven't played x and y this game will blow your mind even more.
 
YESSSS I think X/Y is better if you want every single type of Pokemon and a new storyline, but ORAS has newer stuff and will make you feel noglastic thinking about the old Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. Either one is good :thumbsup:
 
I say you should. The graphics are pretty upped from ruby and everything in the game is much smoother. Other than that there are also over 700 pokemon to catch in the game as opposed to the 2 or 3 hindred in ruby. Primal groundon also looks pretty bada**!
 
It's a good upgrade from the original, with all the new Pokemon, better graphics, mega evolution, and much more! It's also a mix of nostalgia and newness for those who played the original.
 
omega ruby and alpha sapphire is basically an upgrade from the first one. pokemon xy is also pretty good because it has a good and new storyline, but i suggest you to buy pokemon omega ruby.

The game is diffrent for some but i'ts the same map, I mean the same without mauvile city. The grafics is great, and there is more pokemons (4 hundred more). There is Mega Evolutions so you can get them, and you can catch all of the legendaries. I done have all of them but I have the most. The pokenav is cool than pokemon ruby, and you can fly to any place you was. you can trade pokemons, WonderTrade pokemons, GTS (the place that you can trade too), super traning that you can "play" football and pokemon amie that you can be more friendly to your pokemon and play games. they added the primal things that you can evolve your kyogre / groudon and more!!

And there is more: Remember the Secret Base? Now It is secret TEAM! You can do a secret team with others and some peoples can see your Secret Base! And, This game is good, Not only my opnion: In NA the Club Nintendo fans ranked Pokemon OR/AS the best of all 15 Nintendo games!

Recommended! The game is plain awesome, totally worth it. The new things added are really fun, you can actually fly around on your Mega Lati@s, improved secret bases and so much more stuff, I got pretty excited when it came out and even more excited when I started playing the game.

just the looks of it, the game you used to know in 3D, the story and world you knew have been made more advanced. There are some new story elements so that wont feel boring either. A big difference is that the game is a lot easier than the original.

You may buy this game as it is really good game but there are many similarities between this one yet you should go for it as it have dramatic graphics variety of pokemon and flying around on legendary pokemon back is fun.

I chose Omega Ruby because I played Pokemon Sapphire in gen 3 so wynaut? And I've always wanted a Groudon.But I also love Kyogre as much as I love Groudon.And it took a long time to decide on what game I wanted because in Alpha Sapphire you could get Latias.And I wanted Latias.But then I realized that there is an Eon Ticket for a reason.So Omega Ruby it is :).
