One Piece, an anime about the strawhat pirates. Has anyone ever watched it? Thoughts on it?

It happens to be one of my favorite animes. 5 incredibly powerful individuals set sail for various goals. They are heading to one of the most dangerous oceans in the world, and I can't say much more without giving away areas of the plot.

So, what are your thoughts on the anime?
 
I have. Its the only anime I've watched where the fillers didn't get boring. Only downside is that the fights tend to get dragged on cause of all the talking and background story-telling.
 
Honestly, I don't mind the fights. I'd rather them do that then witness 5 episodes of DBZ where they are powering up and all the episodes have in them are them shouting.
 
My brother like anime and stuff. HE tries to get me to watch it and the only thing that has appealed to me was Full Metal Alchemist. But I will only watch it if he wants me to watch it with him other than that I don't bother with anything anime
 
I wouldn't call them all incredibly powerful.

Unless the 5 you're referring to are Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Franky, and Robin.

I'm referring to the first 5 in the crew. They are all incredibly powerful in their own ways. Power takes on more roles then just brute strength.
 
I watched a little bit of the anime when I was younger. It was good, though of course I didn't understand it much because I started watching from the middle of the episode. I didn't know anything about it except the theme song which they would play in the ads.
I wanted to start the manga, but there were far too many chapters and it was still ongoing so I didn't even start. I don't usually read mangas until they're ended; or if they started recently so I can follow them.

Sounds about like how I started watching One Piece. I watched it when it was on Adult Swim, but only watched it because it was super cool. Now, I watch it because of the story line.
 
I have heard a lot about this anime "One Piece" and I always see it around anime websites, I never really paid attention to it though, and it never struck an interest. It does looks like a great anime but I can't see myself watching it.

I love the anime of one piece, it's one of the few anime where I actually enjoy watching the filler. The characters are very likeable and each one always has a background sad story about how they grew up which is pretty interesting
Also one of the only anime I would never get bored of watching even if it ran for like 1000+ epis(which it will, in due time)

I read a bit of the manga a few years back and really enjoyed it but I stopped because I don't want to commit to a universe so massive. There's like 80 volumes out. Wat.

Never watched the anime.

This anime just recently moved up from my 4th favorite anime to my 2nd favorite anime! (Fairy Tail, One Piece, Attack On Titan, and Rave Master((I hate the anime the manga is better for Rave) The only thing I hate is that they prelong the Arc's until it kinda gets boring. I am on the episodes 103-110 and "Arabasta" Arc is taking WAY too long :(

Ahhh don't spoil it! You are going to make me search them up because I can't stand not knowing but I can;t stand know either :(. BTW Doesn't Chopper count since he is really smart and can go through the whole 3 transformation thing? (7 levels when he takes the drug)
