For those of you that downloaded it this past week, or have the original version or on 3DS as an ambassador, what are your thoughts about it?
I haddownloaded it literally immediately after I beat Super Metroid, which happened to be the Thursday it went on Wii U VC. I was blown away. Never before had I imagined I would be so deeply involved with a 2D game, let alone a Metroid game, a series I had never really played before.
The story is simplistic yet intruiging, and you don't have to play the other Metroid games to understand it, however they put throwbacks into the game from other entries in the series. (Most notably SA-X...)
The exploration aspect was done immensely well. In Super Metroid I felt the world was a bit too broad and so I felt overwhelmed trying to find everything, but in this the overworld is a bit more linear so you don't feel lost as often.
I HIGHLY recommend this game to anyone that has a Wii U or a GBA. Easily my favorite GBA game I've played.
