owned either of these before? what did you think?

I think I've played Diamond, but I don't remember much, since it was some time ago. xD

This game was alright. Don't really remember exactly how it was, but it was a step in the right direction for the series. I think still Gold/Sapphire were better though

I have Diamond and Platinum. I thought Diamond was okay, nothing impressive. I thought Platinum made Gen IV much more interesting though, really enjoyed it more.

I have Pokemon Diamond and I liked Pokemon Diamond and it was actually my favorite generation until Gen 6 Came out. I Like all of the Gen 4 Games even if they are 7/8 years old.

I didn't get either because Platinum happened before I decided to get one of the games. So glad it did, because I loved Platinum even now while it's really old at this point.

Definitely Platinum, it's the one game I maxed out the timer in. The music was excellent, the Champion was my favourite in just about every sense, the starters were probably my favourite set to date, I loved the post-game, the Battle Frontier took what Emerald did and seriously refined it to the point I completely adore this generation's, the Pokémon the generation introduced were pretty good, the return of contests was very pleasing, this game's rival was one of the better ones, I enjoyed the Elite Four and Gym Leaders more than most of the other games, the Gym puzzles were interesting (also that maths one from Diamond/Pearl) and I'd go on but I'd soon start rambling.

tl;dr, I love this game to pieces and long to play it again.

Pokemon Diamond was the first game I got for the DS. I really enjoyed it, it had a good story, some cool Legendaries, and a good bite of post game content. I actually lost it but ended up getting Platinum, although I've traded even that away for something else. Still, they were great games for the DS similar to how X and Y are system-sellers for the 3DS.

I've played Diamond and Platinum. I haven't played the GBA series beforehand however I had some experience from Blue (which wasn't a lot because you know how far different they are but I did have Colosseum typing experience too). So nothing from it really draws my attention besides the music from it. I sort of gave up on catching every Pokemon in it because it was a lot at the time compared to Gen 4. I wasn't even competitive at that time and oh gosh I was really young at the time. I might go back to it for nostalgic sense (even though I did start a new game on Platinum maybe a year or two ago). The graphics were great (but the biggest difference to me was between Gen 4 and 5 next to Gen 6 because motion is a hypnotic thing and you can never get tired of those sprites moving. So for me it wasn't special at all and I didn't even bother using honey on the trees because I didn't know when the bugs would come and I just wanted to change my DS clock to find things. Plus this was before I could use the Internet at all.

im currently doing a nuzlocke of diamond
