Ok so Marc closed the site for a certain amount of time until Spinnerweb convinced Marc otherwise. This means that Ninten pedia is being created and Pedia's lifespan is dying out. Most people are asking "Why is this happening with no warning". That is a question I can't answer but there are many unanswered question right now. @Marc please explain what is going on if you're ever coming back...

I do believe that's the point though. This forum has become a family to everyone here. So rather than close the forum permanently the forum will probably be on and off without warning for a while during the transition. I feel it a worthy sacrifice though if it means being able to stay on the forum with everyone regardless in the long haul as they say. As far the original question, technically yes 3ds pedia's time is limited, however, out of it do we gain a new and improved forum dubbed Nintenpedia out of it. So, in my opinion, they is no cause for worry. (Hope that helped @Marc)
