Dexnav Chaining: First step is to find the Pokemon that youre specifically trying to catch (Zubats in caves or Wurmple in route 101) and then catch the original version of it. Use a repel in the area where your wanted Pokemon is. Use the Dexnav to search for the specific Pokemon and if it is not shiny, kill it. Repeat this process over and over.
Shiny Starters: In parts such as picking your Gen 3 starter or (spoiler alert) when you beat the Delta Episode and can get Gen 4 and Gen 5 starters in Littleroot, you can save before and battle or when checking summary and if it is not shiny, you close down the game and reopen it and pick the Pokemon again and see if its shiny over and over again.
Shiny Legends: When about to face a legendary, to get the shiny is very similar to the starter method, save before challenging it and if it is not shiny, close down the game and try again. Its that simple.
Chain Fishing: Chain fishing makes your chance of finding a shiny Pokemon higher that lives in the sea/lake you are fishing in. If you just fish in the same spot over and over again the chain increases and the chance of finding a shiny is higher. DON'T MOVE FROM YOUR POSITION.
Other Tips: Suction Cup Ability, Sticky Hold Ability, Ultra Balls incase you dont have good enough balls, Smoke Ball to run from any uneeded Pokes.
