Hello, fellow citizens of 3DS Pedia! Just was wondering your opinions on the subject of Play Coins. So, to start off this group discussion, here's a few questions:
Is it as easy as it seems to earn Play Coins from posts, or is that just because of the small number I have?
And also, would you rather buy a $20, $35 or $50 gift card with your Play Coins?

Hmm.. So Far i Been Posting quality Posts and that's how i got my Play coins. I don't have any In-Game items to sell or starting a Breeding Pokemon service. I might Sell something like that down the line but not right now. True Getting Play coins can be a bit slow if you only post and not sell anything and another way to earn is if you win contests from other Members, but i suppose to earn them is within good effort and fairness. If i would to choose to buy a eShop Card it would be a $20 card.

I think the main use of Play Coins isn't getting eShop cards. I think the main use is for trading. They're the currency of the forum, and every trade and a lot of giveaways/contests in the Nookling Junction involve them. Buy Pokemon, buy entries in a giveaway, or as rewards for contests - that's what Play Coins are really for. :cat:

Of course, if you save them up and invest enough time, getting an eShop card is pretty cool, but if someone joins just for that and expects to get one immediately they'll likely be disappointed.

I agree with Spinnerweb though being able to exchange playcoins for an eShop card is what makes the coins valuable and more than just some number.

I get most of my play coins for doing detailed posts. :3 I joined last Thursday and I already have 434 coins :3 I also sold some stuff down the line. All you really have to do is sell stuff on games, sell codes you don't need and just make detailed posts like this one :D

I think that making detailed posts is probably the easiest way to get playcoins. I rather buy stuff from games however because(for example) I am a lot happier with my new Shiny Deoxys than with 20 playcoins. I think the value of a playcoin depends on what you want to spend it on. I might start selling pokémon someday but I haven't even completed my pokedex yet. I do sell short stories but the most expensive one (a custom story) is only 4 PC so I will not get exactly rich from that. :p On a sidenote @jasjas, you have the cutest avatar I've seen so far.

I think the easiest way to get pc is to take part in challenges/contests or sell pokemon/items or offer services for them (EV training being an example).

If you're very creative and like to write up paragraphs/thought out posts, (which I'm not/don't do :p) then you'll find you'll get a fair amount that way. :cat:

If I ever get enough for a eShop game code (EU) which will take a long while, then that's great, I'd get a game for sure! :D

Game codes only for EU (because of taxes etc).

I earn playcoins by posting quality posts but I don't do things like breeding pokemon,or selling in games items for playcoins,so quality posts are my only source of playcoins and sometimes I might win a contest.I would choose the 20 dollars eshop card.
