I want to know which is technically better, owning a PS4 or owning an XB-ONE? I personally want to know your reasons on which is better and why it is like that.*

I can't vote for both "I'm a PC gamer bro" and "I prefer Nintendo consoles bro" at the same time :p

But yeah, of course, arguments.

Well, consoles were created in the dark ages when PCs were too expensive and not so useful, so people would just buy a subset of a PC called a console in order to play games for cheaper than if paying for a PC, and without losing too much functionality since PCs were not so interesting. That's why basically no one had a PC but everyone had a console. Because they were thought for games. Cheap. Convenient (well, some controllers were not so convenient but I mean that you don't need a tutorial to plug a controller, while PCs needed to be turned off to plug a mouse...).

But nowadays, everyone has a PC. That's not true you may say. Ok, let me rephrase it. Everyone who owns a console owns a PC. That's already harder to contradict :p
Now, you may say "yeah, but they own a bullsheep PC so they can't play on it and need a console". Yeah, or they could have saved money instead of buying a ridiculous PC plus a PS4, and they would have a gaming PC. Where "gaming PC" doesn't necessarily means "war machine" but you don't need a war machine to play games with the same quality as on consoles... For real, for the same price as a PS4, you have a really decent PC (except if it's a laptop, then you'd have to pay more if you want power), and you don't even need to pay to play online. Plus obviously, you have some exclusive features like a keyboard, or video editing software, I don't know.
"Yeah, but you can't play Uncharted on PC". True, but that's not a reason, that's an excuse. They are trapping you to make you buy an unnecessary console while they could just have coded that game for PC. So actually, these consoles are just ruining the video game industry by not giving people what they could get (games running at 30fps by default instead of 60, just because consoles can't cope with 60).

And why do I accept Nintendo then ? Well because unlike the two other ones who are trying to win against PCs (and they never will), Nintendo accepts to be cheap, and sells cheap, and still gives quality games with original gameplay instead of all these dark games we see all the time on PS and XB. They are not trying to compete with PCs, they try to be an addition to it. Just think about the Gamepad. Like it or not, but you have to admit that you can easily plug a PS or XB controller to a PC, but the Gamepad is another story.

PS4 is technically better hardware wise, also the PS Plus is cheaper than Xbox Live but sometimes I don't like the indie games they give out for free. So Xbox wins with the free games every month.(Actually get 4 including the Xbox 360 games).
I also like the Xbox because it has some nice exclusives but so does PS4. I would only get Xbox if you can get Xbox Live and like the exclusives it offers such as Halo 5. Xbox One has Backwards Compatibility as well.
The Ps4 has better graphics with it 1.8 teraflops, while Xbox One has 1.3 teraflops. Xbox One has better processing power but the PS4 still has the upper advantage. Xbox has 1.75 Ghz while Ps4 has 1.6 Ghz. Ps4 also has faster Ram with a 8GB GDDR5
while Xbox one has 8GB DDR3.
But it's up to whoever likes the games the company makes :p

Well, growing up I played Playstation so I will be purchasing a PS4 first however there are a lot of great exclusives for Xbox that I would like to start playing so I will be also purchasing an Xbox. But in terms of which is my favorite that would have to be PS4, Sony has been the console that I've played on and grew up with so of course the Playstation will have a special place in my heart.

I have a pc and a wii u. For this gen, that is literally the best combo, lol. The wii u and pc make such an amazing combo.

I use my 360, PC, 3DS, Mobile Device, that's about it and occasionally play PS4 at my cousin's or PS3 at neighbor's.

Even though Nintendo consoles are my main my dad got a PS4 last year and since then I thought the PS4 is powerful and better because PS4 has a more awesome controller and an even powerful system then the Xbox one. I also think the PS4 is better because the Xbox digital shop is garbage (My Opinion) and I think the PS4 has more to offer then the Xbox one. "Cough" "Playroom" "Cough" Even the PS4 controller is better because it has speakers, a touchpad interface, and a share button. Some people put hate on the share button and say it's retarded but I think it's pretty cool and it would be awesome if Nintendo's NX had a feature like that with there console. Also the showing of the Xbox one at one of Microsoft's announcements was even worse they showed the original Xbox at the showing when the Xbox one was supposed to take place making the Microsoft company look foolish to it's own fans which is harsh and embarrassing. But, how stupid can you be to mix up a console at your own announcement where thousands of fans are waiting to see your product in a live audience like seriously as stupid as a person can be how can that be possible.

It seems like Xbox one focus more on TV and not on games making PS4 awesome! :3

PS4. No question.

I have both consoles and tbh I can say that the PS4 is a stronger console. A couple months ago I would be telling you how terrible was the Xbox One, but with the recent updates it has really improved A LOT. Hands down Xbox by far has the better exclusive. Bringing out Xbox's past is pretty irrelevant because it's not the same as it used to be. If I was to bring Sony's past then I could complain on how PSN was down for months years ago or how Sony got stolen their user's info...Anyhow Xbox Home Menu is now really good. I've never had trouble with it since the new update came out. It's way easier to use. A really good thing that Sony has in its favor is that they have sold twice as more than what Microsoft has sold, which makes it easier to find people with Ps4. Both controllers are really good. Xbox One has a bigger controller and ps4 a smaller one, but they are both comfortable imo.

Wow! You think you can PM me to give me your opinion about these parts someone recommended me to get?

Lolnope. I have 4 laptops but no desktop PC, which means I have absolutely no clue what's a "good" and what's a "bad" desktop PC part -.-
And even if you asked me about laptops, last time I checked parts was 2 years ago, when I got my gaming laptop (then the 3 other ones I got are not gaming ones) so my "knowledge" is probably outdated.
Sorry :(

I don't have an Xbox One so I can only speak from word of mouth, but generally speaking I believe PlayStation 4 has better hardware and the OS is smoother. The only positives I can think of for Xbox One is that it has more TV features than PS4 and that you can put (certain) 360 discs into it and play them. I personally prefer the approach Sony is taking with being able to play PS2 where they're up-ressing them to 1080p and adding trophy support, but that's just my opinion.

Also I find the exclusives to be "more for me" on PS4 but honestly both consoles don't have many must play exclusives. Nintendo wins in that category.

Good ol' console wars... I like both consoles almost equally, but Xbone is more appealing to me just because I've had more exposure to Xbox in my lifetime than Play Station. It's kind of been like a life-time bond when it comes to me and Xbox lol.
