Pokémon traumas...

Let me ask you a question: what pokemon gave the most traumatising experience to you? It can be either in-game related or real life. Mine? *sigh*

it was a jumpluff...

I was doing a Nuzlocke playthrough in Pokémon White 2 (it was my first playthrough). I beated the Champion without a single loss in the entire playthrough so, i started the after-game routes and towns. I believe it was on Route 2, there was a trainer with a Jumpluff... that cotton demon killed 2 of my pokemon... paralysis... leech seed... ;_;

Mine was when Pokémon Black/White was giving away the pass for Victini. I had gotten the game on the last day of the distribution so I kinda rushed through the first two gyms with Acheron my Oshawott.

Needless to say when I finally got the pass (after doing some Wi-Fi connection with the DS Lite) I went to Victinis' hideout. And started the battle.

It was level 15 and Acheron was level 1o...I fainted it on accident so I tried again and I kept fainting Victini even with its baby moves, so after leaving and re-entering the hideout to get it back I used my other Pokémon who were much lower in level...and some how I continued to faint Victini.

I gave up and started throwing Pokéballs at the freaking thing and it wouldn't stay caught even when I managed to get it a 5% of HP. This went on till 3:00 in the morning (I had to go buy more Pokéballs) and when I had finally caught the little jerk I named it Pain and honestly I wasn't as thrilled as I was when I first saw it.

i missed that event ;_; instead, i got crazy with virizion... she died to struggle...

To me it has to be Groudon in ORAS, once I finally caught it after a really hard battle and my Swampert being almost useless, my brother wanted to play Animal Crossing NL while I was in the bathroom, and he didn't save the game(I had just caught it and was reading Maxie's dialogue), I got so angry I told him to never touch my 3DS again and I managed to catch Groudon again, but I still was angry at my brother for days

To me it has to be Groudon in ORAS, once I finally caught it after a really hard battle and my Swampert being almost useless, my brother wanted to play Animal Crossing NL while I was in the bathroom, and he didn't save the game(I had just caught it and was reading Maxie's dialogue), I got so angry I told him to never touch my 3DS again and I managed to catch Groudon again, but I still was angry at my brother for days

My lil sister once turned of the 2DS when i caught a Shiny Latios... but when i turned ORAS back, i got it again after 2 soft resets

Whitney wasn't really that hard to me, and she never used milk drink, like EVER. I tried like three times because of attract, but really, all I had to do was get a female pokemon

I really have NEVER lost to Whitney! I make sure my Quilava has Flame Wheel or Croconaw has Crunch. They both get the moves at around level 30, but considering I'm the type of guy that only raises 2 Pokemon total during his playthroughs, it was easy. My trauma however was against Walace in Emerald. I 1-Hit KOed everything he had, then he would send out Gyarados and it would start Dragon Dancing, then Hyper Beam or something else, then Full Restore! And the torture goes all over again...

That is both funny and true. I couldn't tell you how much of a pain that Pokémon was the first time I played Pokémon HeartGold. I remember constantly battling Whitney just to K.O her first two Pokémon so my team can level up. I think I finally found a Fighting-type of I had to get a female Pokémon. This was back then when I had finally played Pokémon again since the last Pokémon game I had played was Pokémon Blue when I was a little kid so it felt like I was still a beginner. New to the game, had a bunch to learn, all that.

I'm doing a Nuzlocke of SoulSilver (it's not here, though), and at Clair's Gym, I was having my Ampharos try to PP stall her. Hydro Pump hit the first shot, missed the second, hit the third, and missed the fourth. On the final Hydro Pump shot, you wanna know what happened? IT SCORES A CRITICAL HIT!
