I have a Q.Manaphy is not catchable in X or Y,but on GTS,it shows the blue pentagon sign.So meaning it was caught in X or Y but by breeding we get a Phione not a Manaphy.Man,I am confused.
 
I don't know if it's possible, but because the Manaphy egg you get is different from other eggs, it may be possible to send through PokeTransfer?
 
I think that as with some pokemon, like pichu and pikachu or raichu, phione is the baby version of manaphy. I don't know whats up with yours because i have a phione from a trade and it doesnt have the blue pentagon. Mayeb whoever you got it from hacked to get it or soemthing
 
Well that was a long time ago...I think I traded it for a legend...thanks though :)
 
It is really basic! If I am correct you have a Manaphy? See Manaphy can be bred with Ditto but does not necessarily produce a manaphy egg. Manaphy and Phione are like evolution. For example like when you breed Rotom-Wash with a Ditto gives you a Normal Rotom

The problem here is that I got an Manaphy with a blue pentagon sign, meaning that it was caught in 6th gen. It is parent to Phione and cannot be obtained by breeding so it can only be obtained by events. There is no gen 6 event for this poke and no gen6 game has it...so...I think it was hacked, as it had the blue pentagon sign.
 
I remember when the blue pentagon was first noticed, there was speculation that said that it was a sign that the pokemon was Kalos born or caught, and was impossible to get on hacked pokemon. Not sure if this was ever confirmed by Gamefreak
