My optimism has been restored in Pokemon! In the demo revealed today at E3, Pokemon Let's Go will include EXP from Wild Battles, a demonstration of online/local trades, and more!!!

It has also been confirmed that the Mythical Pokemon, Mew, is to be included in the Poke Ball Plus!!!

Thoughts? Reactions?
My hope stays the same. This'll be a good game!! :D

[EDIT]: There are also size differences in Wild Pokemon. Red auraed Pokemon are bigger, and blue auraed Pokemon are smaller, each yielding half or double the exp respectively. And, when you catch a Pokemon, or battle a Trainer, you can get items like Pinap berries and Poke Balls.

[EDIT]: Pikachu learns the move Double Kick at Level 9.

[EDIT]: IV's and EV's are treated differently in Let's Go. CP is the total strength of the Pokemon. Pokemon stored in boxes can be transferred for candy. An example stated in the video above is transferring a Pidgey for a Quick Candy, which raises the Speed EV.

[EDIT]: Gyms are now Type-Based Entry. For example, you cannot battle Pewter City's gym without obtaining a Grass or Water Type Pokemon.

[EDIT]: Some of these facts are subject to change. please follow serebii.net or look on the Pokemon Website for official facts and announcements.

Type-Based entry? Really? That'll make Nuzlockes impossible and the game much less fun. Still not picking it up unless the battles are harder. Then again even if the battles are harder (like if the required type of Pokémon is weak) I wouldn't pick it up.

And how is it less fun? You can literally find Bulbasaur in Viridian Forest in the game. If anything, it makes it more challenging. :/

I also think that Pokemon are tryna get away from nuzlockes with this type of game.

Yeah, nuzlocke doesn’t really fit in a game focused on catching Pokémon all the time, and where you can see and intentionally avoid Pokémon

Exactly. It adds a new aspect to the Pokemon main series game, which Game Freak has confirmed them to be MAIN SERIES games.

Pretty hyped given my Pokémon Go Mew ended up with dud IVs. And I don't have a Go Plus yet so using it for that would be pretty neat

I'd only be interested in the Mythical Mew provided I could link it to my Pokebank. Otherwise there's no point.

I'm deeply disappointed that they've removed traditional mechanics in favour of just catching Pokemon and giving you experience. Aside from trainer fights, now you're expected to catch a Pokemon to even level up your Pokemon, which stifles your progress in favor of hammering home that "Gotta Catch 'em All!" slogan.

And excuse me? You need a super-effective Pokemon to even participate in a gym? I... I just don't understand. Why, Game Freak? e.e

Since I know that they are dead set on making this a Pokemon Go experience though, I would prefer that they give you two settings; Traditional and Go!, to satisfy both potential audiences in these games. Go! would be exactly the same as what they're going for, but Traditional would give main-series players a better experience.

You only need to SHOW the type of Pokemon. You arent limited to battling with it.

That's still an unnecessary feature to the game, regardless of whether it's just showing or using it.
