A new trailer for the upcoming Nintendo Switch Pokemon games, Pokemon: Let's Go Pikachu and Pokemon: Let's Go Eevee have been revealed. The games will launch on September November 16th, 2018.

Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! Trailer

@Alius was right. You will be able to use the joycons to catch Pokemon (not 100% sure if it's optional) and you will be able to connect it with Pokemon GO. They showed you can transfer and get gifts between games.

I'm still not sure how I feel about the Pikachu and Eevee versions but the trailer looked good. I'm not disappointed, that's for certain. I'm hoping it lives up to its Pokemon name.

Edit: The games are based on Pokemon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition (it was confirmed just now).
Edit #2: Two players can play at the same time together :

What do you guys think? :eyes:

It looks like a Pokémon game with some spin-off elements to it. The target audience appears to be families which is fine but why not get Pokken Tournament DX. But Artisan skill levels vary by age. I personally think battling against playable trainers is more fun than battling with them so I hope that's in the game. Pokémon GO compatibility is great for newbies to start out I guess. If the region was new or there's a second region it would be worth the money imo but as it stands this does not deserve the hype.

I’m greatly disappointed, but who knows. But then again if they pour enough effort into this game, think about what they’ll do for 2019 game :)

I am disappointed that they've decided to implement Pokemon Go connectivity to this game. Also, I don't have to use a Joycon or Poke Ball toy to catch Pokemon, do I?

But regardless, I am interested in seeing how this develops. Props to Game Freak for not only putting walking Pokemon back in, but also what appears to be co-op for a second trainer. I've been wanting this feature since FireRed/LeafGreen, so if anything I'm looking forward to that. It'll make Soul-locke games easier too.

i have no idea if this will be good or not... kinda disappointing for anyone expecting a normal pokemon. Maybe they will prove is wrong and it will actually be great.

Looks cool!!!

I for one am absolutely HYPED. Main series or not, this is just the tip of the Bergmite. Pokemon are JUST getting their feet wet with these titles, and, as always, will be sure to deliver in their own unique way.

Sure, I'm a tad disappointed that the GO throwing mechanic was implemented, but it all changed with their Poke Ball Plus accessory reveal, which is basically an upgraded PokeWalker. I LOVED the Pokewalker, and seeing that being reintroduced in a Pokemon Game has me HYPE for sure. Also, you can walk with AND ride on Pokemon now!

An important aspect for Pokemon games is the fact that you can actually bond with these creatures that possess an obscure amount of powers and abilities. With the new Poke Ball Plus, I will be able to bond with my Pokemon even more, as well as immerse myself when catching Pokemon.

November CAN'T come soon enough, because I want these games NOW.

I never actually played Pokemon Yellow, so I am quite ecstatic that I can play this and another one in 2019. I'll definitely be getting it, and will probably pre-order it.

Honestly, I thought I will be more dissapointed than I actually am. Think about it as a way to keep us waiting until 2019. While I don't like the Pokemon GO mechanics, I do think there is a big crowd for that. Until 2019 the Switch will have a big user base, and it's a better idea to release the main game then and not now. Also Pokemon Quest looks okay for a free game.

The problem is that this is the main game they announced for the switch to come out in 2018. The main game didn’t get delayed, this is the game they meant and they announced a new one.

They said "It might take more than a year to release" in the E3 announcement and listed it later as "2018 or later". They never said it's going to release in 2018.

I slightly got cancer watching it. The graphics do look nice and the Battle System is good but

Pokeball periferal (just WHY?)

Have to Swing the JoyCon to catch Pokémon (I personally don’t like it but fine I guess...(

and worst of all...
POKÉMON GO Connectivity
The Pokémon Go trend back in 2016 is LOOOOONG dead and the Pokefest (back in March iirc) was the biggest nail in that game’s coffin. I guess it could bring the game back but Pokémon go is rather cancerous to me.

If they remove any competitive aspects such as ev’s and Iv’s, I’ll be done with this series

There is honestly more I’m scared of rather than hopeful for. Plz Gamefreak, make this good.

The Pokemon GO connectivity doesn't bother me, because you can play this game as a standalone Pokemon game itself. It's basically a Pokemon Yellow remake without wild battles. But I'm sure you will still be able to grind whether that is from an expanded gym mechanic, or some other means.

I don't get why people are freaking out so much, besides the simplified wild Pokemon encounters.
