Spin Off Pokkén Tournament/Fighters Speculation

Discussing the earlier official reveal of the recently-announced Pokkén spin-off series of games for Gen VI.
Tournament is scheduled for a 2015 release in Japanese arcades.

What hasn't been confirmed however, is if Tournament and Fighters are one and the same game, which is a bit unlikely due to the contrasting names. There may be a possiblility that Fighters will be the Wii U release, but we don't know for certain.

I saw Joe Merric (Serebii.) Tweet something along the lines of this;
"Patience. Tekken games also come out for the arcade first, then consoles."
This could be true, If they become successful in the arcades, they might be developed for the WiiU.
But even in the case of the Tekken games, It took years before they became made into console games, I hear.
I guess we can only wait.

Given the nature of the Tekken series as a whole, a Wii U version of Pokkén is likely a given. What I'm really confused about however is the integration of the Fighters trademark. Will the supposedly upcoming Wii U version use amiibo figurines by any chance? Will both versions have any means of communications like save cards?
