People on both sides seems to dislike the bit about Sarah Huckabee Sanders. What do you think? Was it funny overall? Too far?

My personal opinion is some of it was funny, some of her jokes fell flat. But I did not find it offensive. There was one line about Sarah Sanders' appearance was unnecessary, but every other joke at the expense of people in the room (or not in the room) were fine. So how do you feel about her jokes? Were they offensive or fine?

I didn't particularly understand the one about Kellyanne Conway, which was something about a tree falling on her and suggesting that she get stuck. The fact that she had to say that she wasn't suggesting Conway get hurt kinda signalled the rather "eh" audience.

“She has the perfect last name for what she does, Conway. … You guys have got to stop putting Kellyanne on your shows. All she does is lie. If you don’t give her a platform, she has nowhere to lie. It’s like that old saying, if a tree falls in the woods, how do we get Kellyanne under that tree? I’m not suggesting she gets hurt. Just stuck. Stuck under a tree.”

The rest of the remarks were enjoyable. So was the dinner. Given the entire political and partisan discourse in the US, it's nice to be able to take a step back from it in the form of comedy.

Yeah I am not sure about the Kellyanne Conway tree things. The other Kellyanne jokes were good, but the tree thing just didn’t make sense/ didn’t land. At least for me
