i feel there is a likely hood of some characters from popular games in japan and some of the games in esports to be dlc in smash ultimate , a few years into its existance.
puyo puyo chararacters are possible for both dlc playable and echo fighters for example , since puyo puyo games are a esport in japan that could possibly be in 2020 olympics if it gets the esport in the olympics in japan then.
i would not be surprised if touhou characters do or does not make it into the game as dlc characters, reimu and marisa are likely along side hong meling and flandere scarlet.
