Does anyone here play Project M?

You should move this thread to the Smash Society section. I believe it is a specific topic and would be more suited for that topic of discussion. Also, I have played Project M a few times but I rather play Melee in the end. It feels more polished to me, as it should.

how do you move the thread?

Hmm...I'm not sure. You should contact @Marc or @Mikaya for assistance on that. I tagged them in this post so they can see this and do it for you, if they can.

Well, I wish I could. Just got to get my homebrew-enabled wii to comply and get Brawl too.

Eh, I played it, but I'm not as interested anymore. Bulbasaur was my main in Project M, love solar beam and synthesis! I want to play the new update to see how they improved it ( A.K.A: Slippery movement ) and all, but I lost my Brawl ( this is the 3rd Brawl disc I lost... ) so no chances of playing it soon.... But Hey Who Cares!!!! Smash U is 5x better then Project M!

I do play Project M. Really great to play a Falco that actually has effective hits :)

Lolnope. It is 5x better than Brawl but Project M is 1x better than Smash 3DS which is 1x better than Smash U.

Brawl was slow and random (tripping) so every Smash game is easily better.
Smash 3DS has Smash Run while Smash U has Smash Tour, so Smash 3DS is better than Smash U but not by far.
And Project M is better than Smash 3DS because they are both non-random, both quite balanced but Project M is balanced the opposite way. It's basically "every character has a huge potential and can 0-to-death anyone if you know how to play it", while in Smash 4, it's "OP characters are nerfed, except for recoveries that we will grant for everyone so that no one never dies". Yeah, that's exagerating but you see what I mean.

Brawl is basically just camping out..and the other player getting annoyed at the "happy camper"

Opinions indeed, and you may or may not agree with my arguments... but I had arguments while I am still waiting for yours.

I played Project M for a little while. It was very fun and faster than brawl. After I got used to it, I couldn't go back to slow floaty brawl (I realized the change) And then Smash Wii U came out and both of them were neglected.

Instead of Project M, I actually found a mod for Project M (imagine that, a mod for a mod :p) called Project M: Patt Edition. While there weren't any unique characters, the skins for the characters were incredible. I think there were over 200 skins, which made the game more fun, even if it was just to feel like you were playing as those characters. ^.^

I honestly love Project M to bits, I'd say I have played it so much more than the original Super Smash bros. brawl itself. I fell in love with SSBM the first time I played it due to how fast-paced and demanding it was in regards to your reflexes. The Wii mod for Brawl just improved it even further, as it had even better graphics and was more colourful.

There is not only the speed you know, you can also wavedash, jump cancel shines (so you can waveshine), etc ;)

And everyone has a killer moveset but still can be killled. Just try Falco in Project M and in SSB4 and you'll see what I meant with "every character has a huge potential and can 0-to-death anyone if you know how to play it" vs "OP characters are nerfed, except for recoveries that we will grant for everyone so that no one never dies".

In PM, Falco has no latency before his down air, and no more landing lag with this move than with any other one. His reflector is not thrown (same as in Melee), triggered in 1 frame and jump cancelable.
In SSB4, his down air is unusable due to latency and landing lag. His reflector is thrown, which might help sometimes but you can't combo anything after that, and while you wait for your reflector to come back, you are easily punishable (especially in 2v2).

In PM, Falco's Phantasm was half as long as Fox's Illusion (side B), and it was the same for Firebird vs FireFox (up B). Moreover, you weren't able to do anything after a side B for both characters.
In SSB4, Falco's recovery is roughly the same as Fox's (they can both use Fire to go from Paris to New York) and they are not helpless after their side B.
