PS2 ruined one of gamings best generation

Now, many of you are going to say this is crazy just by reading the title. But what if I were to tell you that Nintendo nearly went broke and Sega died due to the success of the PS2. Think about this, if 10 people want to get a console, 7 buy Sony, 2 buy Nintendo and 1 buys Sega, because of Sony's new fangled graphics and final fantasy, the GameCube, which deserved to be one of gamings greats due to fan favorites due to wind waker, ssbm, pikmin, Luigi's mansion, and so many more is now considered a failure due to sony taking all the sales. Sega went broke due to two console failures before the Dreamcast, but if the ps2 had been released some other time Sega would still be making the Dreamcast 3 due to shenmue and skies of Arcadia. Agree? Don't agree? Respond please!

I would say, yes, Sony did put Nintendo in a tight spot and was a major reason Sega no longer makes consoles, but I can't truly deny that the PS2 had some actual GREAT games. Without the PS2, we wouldn't have Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, and God of War. Plus, I have fond memories of playing Grand Theft Auto at a birthday party. I never owned a PS2, but I had some fun with one. Plus Sega is still doing fine. They're still a success with arcade cabinets and toilet games.
