Here, we recommend PSP games. :cat: Sort them by genre or any other way - recommendations are awesome any way you look at them.

Mine are:

Recommended for all PSP owners:

  • Valkyria Chronicles II (best game ever made :D )
  • Valkyria Chronicles III
  • Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
  • Gods Eater Burst (it's like Monster Hunter, but ten times better and with a real story and an anime art style)
  • Persona 3 Portable
  • The 3rd Birthday
  • Danganronpa
  • Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep
  • Unchained Blades
  • Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
  • Rock Band Unplugged
  • Obscure: The Aftermath (horror)
If you're looking for obscure games:

  • Class of Heroes 2
  • NeoGeo Heroes: Ultimate Shooting
  • End of Aspiration - I've been playing this these days and although it's a simple RPG that's a port of a smartphone game, I love it.
Japanese imports:
  • Hatsune Miku: Project Diva series (awesome rhythm games)
  • Ikkitousen Xross Impact (beat 'em up - very fan service-y)
  • Soreyuke! Burunyanman Portable (side-scrolling bullet hell shooter - EXTREMELY fan service-y)

Yess, buddy! Crisis Core FTW :D
ALthough I owned a PSP for 4+ years, I never came across Danganronpa, Valkyria Chronicles, or a Persona game!
I'd also recommend Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. It's a great shooter, and has a REALLy good storyline, with the best graphics yi=ou could experience on a PSP.

Wow, I wasn't aware that there was bullet-hell shooters on the PSP ! Thanks, @Spinnerweb !
(Also, I wasn't aware that there also was a VCIII out on the PSP).

Plus, you listed Persona 3 Portable... I just can't say thank you enough, as it's a great game (Currently trying to 100% the game after a New Game+, and it feels the same :))!

Really, that's a very good list. Thanks for making that thread :D

There are several bullet hell games, they're just obscure and most of the original ones are Japanese. I can recommend more if you like :cat: NeoGeo Heroes is a true bullet hell too.

I concur. The stealth gameplay was amazing and the ending was quite moving.
Maybe some people disliked it for being a fantasy ending, but hey, love and goodness and humanity do overcome a machine's programming in the end :D

Hoooo boy, the PSP is quite under-appreciated in my opinion. Here are some other neat games:
-Corpse Party and its sequel Corpse Party: Book of Shadows
-Patapon (1, 2 and 3. I personally liked 3 the best followed by 2)
-Valkyrie Profile
-Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
-the DJMax series (if you are a Rhythm game fan, I highly recommend this)
-Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
-Megaman Maverick Hunter X
-Megaman Powered Up
-Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero? (Also the sequel Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood!) [Highly recommended for masochists. lol]
-Gitaroo Man Lives!
-Me and My Katamari
-Gundam: Rengou VS ZAFT
