We've been there, spamming a single attack to win the game. Be it Marvel VS Capcom, Mortal Combat, Street Fighter, Smash Bros, you name it. But this is Smash Bros. we're talking about lol
Spamming attacks can lead to big openings and can easily be punished by learning their pattern and outmaneuvering them.
Of course, they'll go far away and shoot. Then when you go near, then either Block then punish you with a grab or a quick smash attack or they'll roll to the other side.
How to Punish
Dodge their Projectiles and go in for the kill when you see the right opportunity! But be wary of those tricky projectiles like Duck Hunt, Link, Toon Link, Mario, etc
For those having trouble with going near them because of block+grab, just go there and do a sidestep(R+down) then punish them with your grab while they're in grabbing animation
Thats about it to be honest lol gonna do melee and mid range types next lol
