Q:Sonic Down Attack

I got a question about sonics down tilt (attack)on the ground...in the sonic returns to smash trailer I've seen sonic do a Down Tilt and then cancelled into an up tilt. Something you can only do in brawl right(it is possible)? How come I can't do that in the new smash 4? It was shown in the trailer. Not sure if its possible.

It is no longer possible. I cant say for sure if he was able to do that from the release of Smash 4 since I didn't have the game at the time. He was nerfed a lot when put in Smash 4.

I would consider he actually got buffs from his strength in Brawl,but that's how I see it.
In regards to the topic here,you can indeed to this combo(which is often spammed by Sonic users online),but with Sonic's side special,and not his down special.You may have gotten confused because they can't be differenced a lot,since they both make Sonic use the Spin Dash on enemies.I may be wrong on this,but I'm pretty sure that's why.

Alright thanks for telling me...Actually i found out another way to do that with customs. It's very simple to! Might have to be close to the opponent.

• Equip Burning Spin (Custom 3)
• Charge > Release
  
• Do a short hop While having the spin
• Up-tilt
