Questions about ordering eshop game download codes through Amazon

I recently activated an Amazon account and I have a few questions.

1. Does eshop games downloaded through Amazon get sent to my email? Or do they send a physical package with the game download code to my house?
2. How long does it take for a download code to be received?

I'm kind of new to amazon digital services, I only bought books from them so far

If they have a digital and physical tab.
So there is a digital, if you pick digital than it will come to your email.
If you pick the digital feature it will come through email and it takes 5 to 30 min
