Gen 6 Quick question to everyone.

Am I the only person who genuinely thought that the male protagonist in pokemon R/S/E legitimately had white hair? I remember playing OR AS and getting to the contest and remember freaking out because I never realized it was a hat. I legitimately thought I just had 2 tone hair >. <

No man, no your not the only one. That was me for the longest time. Especially with the old pixelated look of the original Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald made it even harder to tell. His whole head was white except for a little bit of brown behind his ear. I always thought he just had white spiky hair because the games originated from Japan and thats what they do. Then i was like, What!!, when I saw his real hair because I was young and got surprised at things like that, lol.

Yeah that sprite was so bad. It totally looks like the protagonist has white hair. You are not insane it definitely looks like he has white hair. I began to wonder while playing that game what if the character really was an old man or something? Haha that would be hilarious.

I have play emerald and yeah... wite Hair? I,M NOT A OLD MAN. I don't think that this was a hat. In Oras i see it.

You could see the black which implied he was 2 tone. Not straight up white.

I never saw it as white hair, actually. I've always thought it was a hat because the "spikes" seemed too round to be hair. Or maybe it would be because of the fact that I already read the Pokemon Adventures Manga, which gives clear views of Ruby's real hair.

Plus, there was the start of the hat on Ruby's sprite. I guess some people passed it off as a headband? Because that just shows he's wearning a hat.

Most of us saw it as a headband. Unless we were meticulous we believed it was a case of Hikaru no go, except white
