Rainbow Road

Rainbow Road has been confirmed as a stage for the 3DS version! What do you think the Wii U equivalent (if any) will be? Also, how do you feel about this stage being added?

It makes you feel excited and will the be like cool back ground music , if yes it would be so epic lol fighting in space ahha xD like one of the stages from super smash brawl.

from what I understand, it'll kinda be like a cruise-type stage, so it may end up being kinda like the Rainbow Cruise stage from Melee, if you know what I'm talking about

yes I understand the place will keep on moving from one part to another or something if I'm not wrong though its hard to play on those kind of maps xD

eh, I wouldn't say it's that hard to play on those kind of maps given that the transitions are kinda slow. It's only problematic if you get stuck in a certain section due to an item or something preventing you from moving

I do get stuck in some part alot of times causing me to lose all my lifes lol because the distance of jumping from one place from another is quite far to be honest xD

lol the distance isn't that bad on Rainbow Cruise. It's only a problem if you're too slow at the transitions. You've also got the recovery moves (UP+B) to help you make the jumps if absolutely needed

I think it well play more like the f-zero stage and delfino plaza in brawl, personnaly I like that type of stages but I dislike Rainbow cruise it's very annoying how it changes quickly .

I think a rainbow cruise type stage is a possibility. This is because they probably won't include stages from Melee and also Rainbow Road has the word Rainbow in it Hopefully it isn't as annoying but I think it'll be kinda like that stage

I think it's likely the new one. Idk for sure given Sakurai only provided one screenshot of it. Idk if it's the new one but I think the one with Rosalina's entrance video is a strong possibility

Yeah, and in any case I think that perhaps it's possible that the Wii U version of Rainbow Road (if any) could make it too, once Mario Kart 8 is released. And that would be as a Wii U exclusive while this one is a 3DS exclusive

I keep noticing many Super Mario Galaxy refences in the leatest Rainbow road stages including the super smash bros. one ! like the Star launchers and starbits .

yeah, definitely. I think Rosalina's introduction to the roster may have had a strong influence on that....and actually thinking on it, this Rainbow Road may be to act as the 3DS equivalent of the Mario Galaxy stage for Wii U haha

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS got the Rainbow Road track from Mario Kart 7 as a stage. I'm willing to bet that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will contain the Rainbow Road track from Mario Kart Wii or from the newest installment in the Mario Kart series, Mario Kart 8, as a stage.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS got the Rainbow Road track from Mario Kart 7 as a stage. I'm willing to bet that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will contain the Rainbow Road track from Mario Kart Wii or from the newest installment in the Mario Kart series, Mario Kart 8, as a stage.

Mario Kart 8 is probably more likely given they'd want to keep things current, right? Nintendo is working on both Mario Kart 8 and SSB4, so perhaps they could collaborate within itself to add the Rainbow Road track from Mario Kart 8 to the Wii U version (that is, if they're doing a new one that is and not just using the Mario Kart Wii Rainbow Road with updated graphics)

Also, with the fact that Mario Kart 8 is going to be released in Spring 2014, and it's possible that SSB4 will be released later than that, I think it's a possibility.
