RAYMAN RUMOR DECONFIRMED!!!

Recently, a rumor has come up stating that Rayman will be a playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Brothers for Nintendo Wii U and 3DS. The rumor can be seen in the video below around 1:50 in the video when the man says "Rayman" (Sounds like Mii man to me a bit)



Today, it has been confirmed by Nintendo of Canada that when saying "Rayman" he was referring to the trophy, deconfirming Rayman as a playable character.

What do you think of this? I personally am glad that that's said and done with, and now we have a free character spot for someone awesome!!!

My reaction: "Take this, Ubisoft! That's what you deserve for being mean toward Nintendo!"
And, I doubt he'll would had any interesting moveset.
So, yes, I agree with you, it'll make a free slot for another character that will deserve it more than Rayman.
 
I think there's no way Ubisoft gets any of its characters in to the game since they haven't been providing the Wii U with solid support. Getting a character into Smash Bros is an honor and Ubisoft will have to do much more to get Rayman as a playable character in future games.
 
I didn't hear about the rumor. I knew Rayman was going to be a trophy, though. I really don't mind if he isn't a smash character and I wouldn't have minded if he was one. Rayman isn't a series I particularly follow, so I don't care much about anything concerning it.
 
Well at least that gives a shot to get our other limbless Nintendo hero a slot in the game. And that would be the Pink Joy Mech Fight robot guy (meh but no one should care cause he's dead and appears in less games than R.O.B.) Then again if there's a 3D model of Rayman you never know if he will be playable (because in the Rayman Origons Demo I've played you could get all his moves from his games easily). Because besides the Metal Gear Solid items (Motion sensor bombs) in Melee/Brawl I'm not sure if there has been 3rd party trophies unless there is a 3rd Party playable character.
 
Haven't heard this (frankly old Rumour now...) But I don't think rayman would be much of a character for ssb franchise anyways, sure he will be a great assist trophy, just not a good playable character, there are a lot of characters with more potential than rayman for the job I'd say! But that's just me... I guess Nintendo thought that as well...................
