I'm in the middle of the game right now and I am loving it. It's the small details in the story that makes the game so unique. In one instance, after you get the ghost z-crystal, did anybody notice the background? There was yellow pokemon, probably mimikyu, in the background right after talking to Acerola. It was pretty creepy and at the same time cool. The trial kept its ghostly vibe.

The game's difficulty amped up. The addition of enemy pokemon calling for help is really a great change. Also, enemy trainers actually strategize. They use items and withdraw pokemon now, well some of them actually.

The only problem I hate is the lag, espcially double battles.

Anyways, how do you like the game so far? Anything you like to share or rant about?

I was breezing through the game for a while but once you reach the 4th island, the sudden power creep really got to me. But it's really the Battle Tree that's getting to me right now since my casual team just can't cut it. I really need to start training a proper team. The game is hell and I love it.

I think it's the first time I actually got invested in a pokemon story? I actually cried at one point ._.

I have not played the game yet but by simply looking at trailer i can games it amazing with out doubt graphics in game are astonishing .Story is great and and z moves animation is really phenomenal.
Player's character with ability to change clothe is nice
I cannot wait to play this game!

I havn't been playing much since the lack of a grid means that I have to pay attention to the screen when breeding.. I know it sounds stupid but it's a big turn off for a very big part of the post game. although I enjoy shiny hunting this time around so when I complete the dex I will get more into that side of the game. As for the main game I loved the story but the gameplay seemed very watered down yes it was difficult but most teams had less than six members and to me at least didn't have many interesting compositions.

I can understand that, but the nice thing about the 4th island is its easier to grind based on my personal research and experimentation during my free time. I also hear that many are complaining about lack of good training spot, but ive also found that raising your pokemons affection makes leveling noticeably easier from my own experience, if you dont do this trying to high level can be what some would call a big pain in the neck or kinda a drag, in that its significantly more difficult and can be kinda tiring as well. I couldn't find very much info on simple leveling tactics so i just did things my own way and experimented on my own which is what ended up being the best and most rewarding thing in my case. I may write about my experiences regarding this later, but dont have an exact date at this time.

As for battle tree, i havent really gotten into that much so i cant say much about that, sorry my friend XP

Putting spoiler tags in case some people here didn't play it yet. But I'd like people who can read it to actually do it so they know what I'm talking about.

I don't get why people are crying (like @Spinnerweb above), saying stuff like "poor Lillie", or calling their Lunala "Nebby" when I called mine Marx... Am I undersensitive or did I miss something big?
I mean, Lillie isn't a trainer, it's obvious she can't keep a Lunala with her. And nothing prevents her from visiting Lunala whenever she wants (when she comes back). And "Nebby" was never Lunala's name, it was Cosmog's. Yeah, Cosmog evolved into Lunala, but it's like children, you call them with diminutives when they're small and cute and you use their real names once they're older so I stand on my position, "Nebby" was never Lunala's name.
So yeah, what exactly makes people so sad?

For those who didn't read because laziness or because spoilers, well, idk. I'm not saying the story was bad, but I didn't find anything exceptional in it either.

Well I'm a little let down that there isn't enough clothing options. It just seems a bit basic a selection for me. (I also wanted to give my character Lisa some sandals, but I haven't found any yet.)

Other than that, I've been liking it so far. The Alolan variants of older Pokemon interest me greatly, as well as the new exclusives.

I haven't played the game yet but from what I have seen from the scenery, animation and game play it seems really really good. I am waiting for Nintendo to make Pokebank accessible and also to transfer my Pokémon from Yellow to the bank as well. I want to travel with my faves from past games...so holding back on getting/playing sun/moon.

Haha! I failed my highlight. I meant @SunnyWindy (which I'm still used to see as purple so I assumed it was you when I saw the capital S in red...). Sorry about that :p
