Reasons to get a Wii U

My husband and I already have the Xbox One and the PS4. I'm curious about the Wii U but of course I will need to be able to justify the purchase of another console for myself and my husband. What would you say are some of the reasons to get a Wii U? Please include personal reasons as well as game titles and why they are awesome and what not.

As it's a Nintendo console, the Wii U offers tons of great first party games and a few other exclusives which make up for the lack of third party titles, and in fact also boasts tons of both old classics and new indie titles in the Nintendo eShop. Some examples of the great first party games currently available to buy are:

• Super Mario 3D World
• Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
• Pikmin 3
• The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD
• New Super Mario Bros U (with Luigi DLC)

And there's some of the great other exclusives:

• The Wonderful 101
• Lego City Undercover
• ZombiU
• Sonic Lost World

But then there's a whole list of upcoming games, some of which are here:

• Mario Kart 7
• Smash Bros U
• Sonic Boom
  
• Bayonetta 2
  
• Monolith Soft's "X"
• Hyrule Warriors
• Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem
  
• Yarn Yoshi

And I haven't even talked about the third-party games the Wii U will get, some of which are pretty impressive; but honestly if you're going to get the Wii U, it's going to be the games above which you'll want - especially if you can get third party games on your other consoles.

It's also really fun to play Wii Sports Club online against other people (bowling!). It makes for really good family entertainment.

Thanks for the reply guys! I will have to look more into those games, read reviews on them and such. If I can get excited about it enough I'm sure my husband will let me buy the Wii U.

Once Mario Kart 8 is out I'm sure Nintendo will really start focusing on the Wii U instead of the 3DS. Which means we'll start to see better titles coming out, such as the Mario Party games and Mario Sports games. I'm sure we'll see a new Metroid and Zelda soon too.

If you looking forward to MK8 and Smash Bros. I suggest you buy it. Both games are gonna be huge hits, I imagine. They will be the main titles.

If you are looking into buying a Wii U I suggest buying one because of the games that they have out. If you have kids you can get them games like New Super Mario Bros. U and Super Mario 3D World, and you can get yourself games like Bayonetta 2, Bayonetta (Wii U Edition coming out with 2) and Batman Arkham City/Origins. They also have extra upcoming games like:

• Splatoon
• Bayonetta 2
• Possibly Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
• Hyrule Warriors
• A Kirby Wii U Game
• Yoshi's Yarn
• Mario Maker (Where you can make your own Mario Levels and play them in the original Mario way or the NSMBU way.
