1) He floats making him a great air player.
2) He can crouch a majority of long ranged attacks
3) You feel happy while using him (well I do at least)
4) Back air back air back air back air back air
5) He's flat out adorable and a virtual powerhouse

If you choose kirby you'll never go wrong :D

he may be a great air player, but most of his attacks leave him open for a grab if their dodged. another problem is against quick fighters like toon link and sonic, those openings can be used to make large combos, destroying kirby. even his down special can be punished by almost anybody :l
 
Yeah , Kirby is a nice character to main :p with all the different movesets he has and also the ability to copy other characters by sucking them :singing: makes him quite versatile , but of course there are the cons like Xcaliber said and he is quite a light character so it would probably be easy to smash him :p

Just under the post, I was able to read "@Mikaya likes this". Why am I not surprised ?

And yes, he's good when you begin, but after, you'll notice that, once you get adapted to other characters, Kirby just won't be enough...
Also, another flaw I do notice in most of the Kirby players is the Down+B spam. Occasionally, it may work, but spamming it makes the thing really easy to punish. (Grabs, my worst enemies (because of all the players using it in a cheap way), becomes my friends here)

As for the back air, indeed it is powerful, but, a counter can be atrocious (damage-wise) for the Kirby player. Ok, not as much as a Charged-Hammer counter (since it becomes a 50% One-Hit KO when countered), but most of the time, dealing 22% per Back-Air counter is still a big number (Just 5 times and land a smash, and bye Kirby).

So, yes, Kirby is good, and fun to play as, but, he isn't viable power-wise on the long term, and most of the players online tend to easily read Kirby users' strategies.
 
I used to main Kirby in Brawl; the times when his voice-over was more than decent. Being an air-fighter is always a good thing... if you're able to knock your opponent up in the air and execute the air-fighter's moves properly. Too many people online overuse his up and down special to the point where they become predictable and extremely trivial to dodge. Sadly, I don't view Kirby as a serious smash fighter anymore because of the way people use him now. :meh:

I used to use kirby and metaknight in brawl too because mario was not too great. But now, mario had been vastly improved with new moves and better damage. He is one of th best characters in smash 4. Kirby, is kinda the same so he is pretty easy to beat up now. Metaknight is still pretty good and a bit improved.:panda:
 
I really think many people waste Kirby's potential as a chracter by just spamming down-b and side-b. Kirby has A LOT of combo potential with his tilts, aerials and grabs and since not many people know that they see Kirby as very inferior chracter. I, as a Kirby sub-main i know many combos.

Kirby is one of the best characters in the game with the ability to suck up another player and use its special attack. It can fly/jump higher than most other characters can and is cute :3 lol It sucks that when sucking up you vulnarable ot others and the person you are sucking up :/

reasons to main kirby
1. because he is 40th on the tier list
2. he has great recovery
3. his side b is nearly impossible to land but when it does, it does big damage
4. his tone attack isn't too powerful, nearly always misses, and lets the opponent get a free grab.

Yea people that have kill combos aren't the best matchup for kirby but then again smash isn't about winning every game you play lol

Kirby is an all right character with a great recovery and air game, decent damage and speed, and lacks defense. I used to main him but right now he's like a fun to use character. My favorite part about Kirby is how he can copy abilities in Smash.

I think Kirby's a great character to main, because he has lots of strong attributes. I used to play Kirby back with Super Smash Bros. for just Wii and I absolutely loved his Smash. It would be real funny to just cook other players, deal damage, and afterwards get your percentage lowered. Kirby's side attack with the huge swinging mallet is awesome. He flies and is a flying pink ball!

I really don't like Kirby that much, but he is an overall character. We all have different play styles, but Kirby is just not my character. However, people using Kirby online can get annoying. They often spash the down b and up b quite often, though the down b isn't a problem since you can just grab them.

I never use the Down B, but I do tend to use the Up B. I remember back in the day when @Marc used to use Kirby and kept on trying to stone me. I always ended up grabbing him :whistle: Despite his somewhat weak power, I still use him online and win frequently, usually by using the opponents B a lot better than they can :playful:

Ok I would main kirby but I already chose Puff. He has good air game, useful attacks, I can up throw and rest on opponents, and I can spam pound XD seriously tho I can keep players away really good with Puff.
