Recommend any manga?

So lately I have been wanting to get into reading manga and possibly make a collection but I just don't know any good mangas and haven't been recommended any. I want to know what your favorite manga is and what you recommend. I'm not picky but I do have a preference if it helps you guys in recommending me something. I'm a huge fan of animes that are cute or make me ship characters and that are hilarious so would like something similar in manga just so that it keeps me hooked.

A few preferences to help, anything from:
-funny
-cute
-romance
-action
-maybe mystery?

oh and I do ask that it's appropriate since I would like to take it to school with me but anything is fine since I could read the ones I can't take to school with me at home. Thanks for the help guys

One's you could take to school could be the Kingdom Hearts Manga series. (No personal experience with the series, I just know
it'll work though.) It's got a little of everything you've listed up there.
One you should Never, ever, ever, take with you to school is Blank Slate. Lots of drab colors and the looming threat of death. In fact, I'm not even sure you're old enough for that kind of manga... %)

thanks for your recommendation! I'm familiar with the kingdom hearts games and I didn't even know they made manga I think i'll give it a go or check it out. Blank slate? never heard sounds familiar though, well depends on how old I need to be to read it i'm a senior in highschool I just don't want to get in any trouble for having a book that isn't school appropriate.

okay, i have some obscure ones to downright ridiculous-

Koi to uso-
A world where the government decides who marries who, love isn't a thing but our 2 high school protagonists fall in love.
Its not my fav because i dont like the premise but i am sticking with it xD.




Domestic na kanojo-
Umm i really dont like this one, but thats only my opinion. a lot of tragic conflict and its to serious for my taste but definitely worth checking out if you like romance.
WARNING:- contains a little bit of incest.

Last game:-
Jut a very cute shojo with exactly what you would expect and somethings you won't

Re-life-
cute story filled with funny moments and very light hearted.

lastly is My absolute favorite-- HORIMIYA!!!!
this one is just plain romance and comedy and they get a lot of things right, almost everything. its plain fun and relaxing to read. its light hearted so dont expect heavy plot points and deep conflicts, that is not to say there is no tension in the manga because there is.


P.S i just realized i know a lot of romance manga........ anyway they are all good in their own way give them a try if any of them are up your alley.

If you like funny + romance, I definitely recommend Ouran highschool host club (not sure if there is a manga version, there should be?). It's very famous and I really love it, though it's a little old!
Skip Beat falls under the same category, very funny and romantic.
Another romance is Kimi ni Todoke, very warm and fuzzy feeling xD

Action, funny and mystery, well maybe Black Butler? There is no romance here (Or at least that is what I think). Sometimes I burst out laughing when reading it and people just give a weird look at me

Funny, Action, Mystery = Attack on Titan? The first few chapters are really funny but it gets serious later. Also Blue Exorcist
Funny, Cute, Action, Romance (and Mystery?) = Samurai Deeper Kyo and Code Breaker (same author/Illust). I seriously love both of them.

I've heard of both animes you listed and now I really want to watch them thanks! i'll check out the mangas you listed as well they sound really interesting since I've heard of the anime versions. I might just give them all a go thank you again! <--- here's a bear because I love bears!

I would say Naruto Shippuden Manga is really good and a lot of my friends enjoy it as do I and it is my favorite manga and I really enjoy it. The manga is better than the anime imo because it delivers first xD, I'm joking it's just a amazing manga to read, I also would recommend bleach as there is a season going on only in the manga.

Hey there! thanks for the suggestions. so Naruto huh? and bleach? sure they also sound interesting. I'm starting to love manga because there are so many stories that don't have a full anime or an anime it's self (i'm talking about you hiyokoi!) seriously it would make a great anime but too bad it's only a manga and I believe only in Japanese man I wish I could read in Japanese. maybe if I wait a few years anyway thanks for the suggestions! feel free to leave more i'm making a huge list!

If you like romance anime you should check out kimi no iru machi. Its pretty lengthy for its genre (27 volumes) but I thought it was pretty good. Its more of a funny and laid back stereotypical romance series.
If you're looking for a more serious type check out half and half, which is by the same author. Basically a girl and a boy both die and are reincarnated with a twist. They both can live but after 7 days they have to select which one of them has to die, while the other one continues living. At the start they hate each other but it turns to them caring about each other and wanting to sacrifice themselves so the other can live

Hello i'll recommend you a lot of action animes. So there is Naruto,Naruto shippuden, Fairy tail, Fairy tail zero, One piece, Accel World, Sword art online, One punch man, dargon ball, dragon ball gt, dragon ball super, kuroko no basket, Attack on titans, Norn9, BBK/BRNK. I know many others animes but you should watched these before. I hope it helps you.

I probably won't be of much help as I've only read/or have been reading Tokyo Ghoul and Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan). Angel Dust is a nice one, but it's also very short and only a book's worth. Still one of my personal favorites though. I really need to read more manga myself. xD

I would recommend Maximum ride. The story surrounds a flock of bird/human muntant kid hybrids that live freely from adults and rules. Though that doesn't mean they're safe. Wolf/human killer hybrids called eraser are sent out by "the school" to kill them or take back the school. It's best to not spoil the 1st book for you. I recommend because it has a lot action and mystery and it can also be funny at times. It has a really good story line and definately would look for it in a local library or barnes n noble for purchase.
