Who will win????? Ash Or Red Red has some pretty wild pokemon and Ash lets just say he got skill. Red has catched them all and Ash has trouble beating a bellsprout. (its in the Anime) Of courese Red is the Winner here he has even caught a Mewtwo!!!!!

No offrnse to the people who like Ash

Ash's stupidity depends on the writer and the handwaving, I suppose. Earlier last year the same question was asked, so what I did was took Ash's latest team at the time and according to the moves they had, made their levels one under the next move they didn't know yet by game standards.

This of course meant that Ash's team was somewhat under level 50, so the next thing I did to give some fairness to the competition was to lower Red's team from HGSS down to level 50 to give Ash a fighting chance. In the end though it turns out that random factors aside, Red was still more likely to beat Ash. Keep in mind though that this was Ash's team while he still had a Goodra and a Frogadier.

Also, there's no need to make your post font large. It can be seen just fine at this size >here.<

okay I wont make the font Large sorry if it bothered you

I've no problem with it much but I'm just letting you know now before somebody else points it out.

Red vs Ash............. Red wins as you said. Catch legendaries, Catch em all, done things easy when Ash did horrible. Ash's level 1000000000000 Pikachu just lost to a level 5 starter snivy. Ash never beat the league, but he beat the orange league, do you know why they're forgotten. It's because they got beat by Ash

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Ash also beat the Battle Frontier as well? It's not technically a league but it counts for something. And the handwave for the Snivy defeat if I remember right was that Pikachu's power was drained at the time and also Electric is weak against Grass.

I don't remember any thing about the battle frontier.
Also Pikachu can use quick attack, so yeah

Ash has a Pikachu that KOs ground types with thunderbolt. Yep, ground types. ?@!¿!¡@ GROUND TYPES!

Ash also has a Snorlax that can use not 4, not 5, but 6 bloody moves in one battle!

And I must not remind you guys of the Lisa and Tate battle for my personal sanity.

Ash may be weak but I wouldn't quite count him out yet.
(And in a Smogon OU battle, Red would have a bad time.)

Are you talking battle wise? I'm pretty sure Ash could easily create a good enough team out of the mons he has caught over the years to beat Red. ' But Red is champion ' your point? champions arn't meant to be exactly Unbeatable. If we're talking personality wise...I find them both annoying. I didn't particularly like Red in adventures that much and don't even get me started on origins. Ash...well it depends what region your talking about, he is particularly annoying during Unova and Kanto

Like almost everyone here, I'm voting for Red. :p He's pretty cool and actually grew up instead of staying 10 forever, lol. He was also really hard to beat in the HeartGold/SoulSoulsilver games.

As for Ash, well, I don't like him very much. He's an idiot and says really stupid things in the anime. I also don't like the fact that the only Pokemon he travels with is Pikachu, and he just leaves the rest behind. It'd be nice if he still traveled and used the previous ones he had, to battle and stuff.
I expect him to still be 10 by the time I'm on my deathbed. And Pikachu would probably look even skinnier than it looks now. :hilarious:

One would think that after all these years of training ash and his pikachu have to be stronger than red, a boy whose gone missing. But his pikachu (who clearly has to be level 100 by now ;p ) is his only pokemon he keeps bringing along a new region so he always starts over really. Nah Red is cooler, he obviously wins, and not only has mewtwo but also articuno, zapdos and moltres. Ash has zero legendaries ( at least never caught in a pokeball)

Ash is a pretty bad trainer, he was good in Battle Frontier and DPP, but since BW he literally become stupid (even more stupid than in gen 1 and 2, yeah, that's impresive), in XY is becoming a much better trainer tho, we may see a new DPP Ash soon

But Red would win in a battke, mostly thanks to the Pokémon he has rather than his ability to fight (We are talking about Origins' Red... right?)

I would say that Red would win over Ash. Red is just a lot more cooler compared to Ash and the Pokemon that he has caught are practically better. Sometimes I just don't really know what is logically happening with Ash in the anime. I'm mean, he's traveled to like, all the regions, and yet, he's just really weak ;-;

It seems one-sided but I wouldn't count (Sinnoh League) Ash out. As he is right now I think he'd get DESTROYED but his Pikachu tied with a slightly worn out Latios sooo :p

I honestly think (Sinnoh League) Ash would win, he breaks the rules that Red plays by but more importantly, he's filled with Determination

Red ftw.

You don't see Red's Pokemon's levels going to 1 every generation do you? Ash goes back to a 10-year old in both skill and intelligence, and his Pokemon get weaker too, for whatever reason.

Hands down Red for the win, Ash is a <censored> hat every time you turn around he has forgot everything he knows and his pikachu goes from sucking to kinda not sucking. This is just my opinion though.

I honestly wouldn't know, I would think red in my opinion but they are practically the same character, in Pokemon heart fold and soul silver he carried the same Pokemon ash does so I really don't see that big of a difference here.

Red pretty much came first, if any indication in Origins is a competent and skilled fighter after enough training, wants to actually catch 'em all and while he does carry Ash's early Pokemon, it's really Ash who was following Red's footsteps and then he went on to become the main protagonist since Hoenn beyond, becoming his own character.

tl;dr They share the same base but are pretty different characters when you get down to it.

I believe none of their teams aren't all that good, but still Red would win. Let all their Pokémon be level 100. Red's Pikachu is stronger as it has a Light ball. Ash-Greninja might also not save Ash's chances, as Venusaur and Pikachu could be able to defeat it.

Trainer-wise, I believe Red is better. Even though Ash went through a whole lot more regions, he didn't accomplish anything in them.
