Today the president of nintendo of america had a meeting with Re/code and he talked about wii u´s
competition this is what he said:

“If you look at the other two competitive platforms, fundamentally, what’s the difference? They have a
lot of shared content. Look at it from the standpoint of, what don’t they have? They don’t have our
games. They don’t have Mario and Zelda.”

he has part of the truth by saying they don´t have all those great IPs like mario, metroid, zelda that are
like nintendo´s elite games but lack of third party games that is what the Xbox one and ps4 have even
though it has never been nintendo´s powerhouse it would be nice to see Call of Duty, Assassins creed
and all those games. If you want to give your opinion feel free to give your opinion.

Sony and Microsoft are more about being real and being in the real world with their games that are sometimes mostly Mature rated games. They have a real audience and a real online multiplayer and the third parties attention. Nintendo has the memories, the original video game logic, the experience of what sells and what doesn't, the arcade hits, the time and effort put into something that deserves to be called art. The challenge and the epic endings. The varying gimmicks and controls, the party support, the racing games, fighting games, the platformer games, the puzzle games, the most popular RPG games and everything between. Heck since they don't have third party attention they are supporting indie developers as their main offensive for the people who love art and handmade things and the small groups of 1-5 people that make things off the top of their head. Sure they have shooters and maybe platformers and sports games but that's just one end of the spectrum. Nintendo has the quality and approval of deserving my time and my entertainment. He's right, however the only thing they are missing and are working on is their marketing strategy by adding DLC to popular titles everyone has or wants to have to get their way. Other than that they have solid appeal ever since the 80s

dude your so right, I would be happy if we had the best of both worlds

The Wii U mostly doesn't have third party games like Xbox and Playstation. Most of them are made by Nintendo. This is most likely because of the technology in the Wii U. This is different, more expensive technology than the technology in the Xbox and Playstation. Because of this, third party developers don't want to waste time and money trying to find a way to get their games to be compatible with the Wii U's technology. They'd rather make more games for Sony and Microsoft.

It isn't so much trash-talking as self-promotion. Despite lots of so-called 'hardcore gamers' acting like the most powerful console will always win, history has shown that it is usually the less powerful - and in quite a number of cases, the least powerful of that generation - which wins. It all comes down to how much support it receives with good games because in the end, people don't care if a console has a 42 THz processer if its games are garbage.

I'm not supporting the Wii U (I'm not supporting any eighth-gen console and don't intend to buy any at the moment) but he has a point, even if he's just saying his company's games are better which people can argue over.

I have grown up playing nintendo games and watching some other games too, and when you are a child there are certain think you don't realize, this is just a clear example of it. so now that I understand certain things I can say that he is right, I mean, I like third party games, but nintendo exclusive games are much better! So this is why he can show off with the exclusivity nintendo has to offer. If I want to play call of duty, I can choose between two consoles which are more or less the same, but I can't choose when it comes to play a mario game and it is good not to do so.
