This has happened to me from the first day i got the game, When i quit playing or switch to a different game it closes SSB4 but then the 3ds turns black like it is restarting or something. Is this just my 3ds or is it like this for everyone?

I think it happens to us all, it's common. It may be because the game takes a lot of memory to run (like big fizesize). I must admit it's annoying, though. .-.

OK i was worried my 3ds was messed up. And i wonder why they dont allow us to use any thing like the miiverse or internet app at the same time that it is running, i get my miiverse but why dont they just not allow pics if that is what they are worried about, or just not allow it during multiplayer matches.

This is not your 3DS being messed up. The sole reason this happens is because Super Smash Bros. 4 3DS is a game that pushes the 3DS system to it's limits; as it is evident because you cannot use other apps when the game is running. The system tries to clean up the RAM memory and refresh the CPU, to prevent any future crashes/overloads that might result after a session of heavy Smahing.

Super Smash Bros. 3DS is a very powerful game. The 3DS cannot handle having more than one application open when Super Smash Bros. is still running. Like @AliTheAce said, it pushes the 3DS to its limits. That's why it has to reset every time. The New 3DS won't have that problem, though.

It happens exactly the same to me. I think this is due to the 3ds hardware which is in some way limited to support smash bros. I say limited in some way because I remember people at nintendo said something like the smash bros will not have the same features that it has on a New Nintendo 3ds, is this clear? I think that the 3ds has some sort of limitation in terms of hardware to run the game, so that's what makes a possible restart of the console. My theory...

Its normal. The game is very powerful for the 3ds to handle. It does get annoying when you want to switch games but you have to close it and wait for the system to restart. This doesn't happen if you switch to a game or app that is installed in the 3ds. It just switches automatically like a regular app.
