ROTOM POKÉDEX CONFIRMED FOR SUN AND MOON!

The Sun and Moon new trailer just showed that our Pokédex would be a..... ROTOM!

So a Rotom gets into your Pokédex, which enables you to talk to it. What do think about the new Rotom Pokédex?

I feel it is a super-cool and neat idea to have this! I'm super excited! Rotom is one of my favourite Pokémon too!

I love the idea of this. It just shows that even in the Pokemon world technology is evolving. Plus you'll be able to talk to a Rotom. I just love the idea.

If it is Steel Electric, we have a Pokémon with two weaknesses, 11 Resistances and 2 Inmunities (unless the opponent has EQ mold breaker)

I like the idea but first thing that comes to mind is hoping your Pokedex is sturdy enough to take elemental attacks and punches/kicks.

According to the trailer, wewould be able to communicate with other Pokémon. I believe this will be used till great extent in the Pokémon anime, making Ash able to communicate with Pikachu and all his other Pokémon.

In the games, it might be used to talk to our Pokémon, and could even be used in Pokémon Amie if it would be there.

This is an awesome feature! The pokedex will finally have a personality (personal assistant)! I think this will add a nice touch to the upcoming games. I guess Ninty/Gamefreak had to make some sort of new system to keep things fresh. xD

I'm not really a fan of Rotom, but there ya go.

This Rotom Pokedex was rather unexpected but nonetheless awesome
The possibility and potential of it being an entire Pokemon itself is something that I would question myself about. I would love to know how the "communicating with Pokemon" thing would work, honestly

So Rotom Pokedex was announced. When I watched the trailer it seemed like it could be a fun feature. But then I read the descripion:
"The Rotom Pokédex shows your current location and your next destination, and it also gives you advice on where to go next, based on the conversations you have with others! It's likely to be of great help to you in many parts of your adventure."

It "shows your next destination", and "gives you advice on where to go next"....
You know what this reminds me of?

It never really came to me that the Rotom Pokedex might be like that, personally It probably won't be nagging at you every minute and maybe there might be an option to turn it off or something =P Navi is from an entirely different game so it can't be too similar

I don't get why some games are all about going where you need to go right away! I mean, the whole point in Pokemon is to have an adventure, which includes things like exploring and stuff and finding where you need to go yourself! If it ends up taking that part away from the game and without an option to turn it off, that part of the game won't be nearly as fun. When there's a new region you haven't seen, the first thing I want to do is explore every nook and cranny to find things, from items, to Pokemon, to battles! I just hope they will realize it won't be good for the game if they turn it into an annoying companion that can't stop pestering you if you stray of the path for even a moment!

The Rotom Pokedex might not be that bad. It might be sort of a thing that you chack and it does not interrupt your journey. Personally I think we should give it a shot and hope for the best. The Rotom Dex reminds me a lot of Voltorb. Because voltorb is rumored to be a pokeball possesed by a haunter.

Well, in the videos it shows that it's out all the time a Rotom is in it, so perhaps it's optional and you can turn it on and off by having Rotom "possess" it! I think that would be best, so if someone wants it, they can use it, while those that don't, can keep that function turned off!

Rotom pokedex is a interesting feature. Not only does it give u a new look at Rotom XD adorable in my mind, but it is extremely helpful from agar I've hears about it. I sure do hope it won't be a pest like that fairy from zelda XD. I can't wait to see how this new feature turns out to be.
