I'm thinking of getting Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire but I've never actually played Ruby, Sapphire, OR Emerald. Which one is better Ruby or Sapphire? But if Delta Emerald is confirmed I'm definitely getting that

How long have you been playing Pokemon? If you've been playing for more than 2 generations, you should know that there is no "better" version of the game. It's all subjective, and has only a few different pokemon in each version. Do some research on Serebii or other sites, and see which exclusives you like, and choose that way.

I'm getting Alpha Sapphire because I like Kyogre, and Team Aqua more, also think some of the exclusives are cooler. Both of them will be basically the same game, so dont worry.

Dont think there will be any Delta Emerald because when Gamefreak remakes a Pokemon Game, it only comes in pairs, and they never include the third game of the series.

None is better than the other in my opinion. They just have different content such as mega stones, Pokemon, and teams (maybe more). Of course, if they release a Delta Emerald, that'd be the obvious choice to get because of the Battle Frontier.

The only reason why I prefer Alpha Sapphire is because I've played Sapphire back in the day, :panda:

I believe that there is no such thing as a 'better' Pokemon version. Between Ruby or Sapphire, which ever one is better really depends on the exclusives, because the games are basically the exact same thing. The 'better' game is the game that has the 'better' exclusives in your opinion, such as Mega Stones, Pokemon, storyline, effects, etc.

I'm getting Alpha Sapphire, due to the fact that I love Water-types.

As the members above said already, there is no definite better version of the game. The storyline and gameplay elements are EXACTLY the same, with some minor tweaks here and there to add Team Aqua/Magma and Kyogre/Groudon
Both games, however, do have different exclusives. But, I don't think that's very much of an inconvieniece, as people will be happy to trade exclusives from their game for exlusives from yours.

Really, overall, there is no game that is better out of the two sister games. They have all of the same gameplay elements, except for two things: Teams Aqua/Magma, and Version Exclusives, thus making it a matter of opinion. It really just comes down to the question: which do you like better? Groudon or Kyogre? Magma or Aqua?

How long have you been playing Pokemon?

I only played Soulsilver and I'm playing Y

I think you have to look which version exclusive pokemon there are, and which ones you want the most. Like for example, which of the eon duo do you want more, latios or latios. Make your decision based on this, it will help you

If im getting one of those games, I will be getting alpha Sapphire. I like water types more than fire types, and team Aqua is my favorite villain team in the Whole franchise. I havent looked at the exclusives and the mega stones, but I dont care much about those differnces, because I can get them via trading :)

I think I've been saying this a million of times. I definitely going for Alpha Sapphire!
I love blue, I love water and I love swimming. Oh did I mentioned that one of my doll is named Alpha?

Don't think there is any clear distinction between the 2 version. So just choose the legendary pokemon you like most.

You can't really compare the two games because it is all opinion concerning which is the better legendary, exclusives, team, etc. But I am definitely getting Alpha Sapphire. Water is my favorite type and Team Aqua is in my opinion a lot cooler(haha puns) than Team Magma. Also, I love whales so Kyogre is amazing because its a water type and it is a whale <3

I hate to say this but...
Well, Ruby and Sapphire were my least favourite Pokemon games. There is something about them that grates after playing Gold and Silver. There is a lot of water and a lot of backtracking and the animations are painfully slow- 20 hours on Ruby will net you much less Pokemon and experience than the same amount of time in any game prior. Also the Pokemon introduced in that generation included some real stinkers. I replayed Emerald in the summer and there is still a lot to be desired despite the amount of brilliance in the game (I loved Dive as an HM and the rival teams were a nice touch).

This said I am getting Omega Ruby as I always choose red over blue. A lot of the issues I have with Gen 3 will hopefully be resolved with the speedier battle mechanics of the newer games and the ability to go diagonally! And the secret bases can finally be implemented as they once should
