Yes, really, without the use of an emulator.
Recently, TCRF.net (The Cutting Room Floor, a website who specializes on finding unused stuff in games) has found that there's a Windows Executable on the disk of the GameCube version of the game.

It runs using OpenGL, and is actually a debugging feature. Expect some text on your screen, and some graphical issues (some of the Graphical Effects have trouble on Windows), but you can still play the game.

More info here.

It's still unknown about if the Wii version of the game still feature this debugging tool, and if Pikmin 2 has it too.

Hm? Wow. I though this would be a guide on running Pikmin on Windows with an Emulator. Thanks for sharing this with us, I will be sure to try this out.

Wow this is really cool! I always wished Nintendo would come out with Pikmin for something other than Nintendo systems, and, in an ironic kind of way, they have! Now I really need to go find that version of Pikmin and play it on my Windows computor!

Well, if you have a retail disk of the game, put it in your computer's CD drive, it should do the trick, normally, though some drives doesn't recognize GameCube disks.

Ok awesome! Is it possible to get the original retail copy from Amazon or GameStop? I'm going to look right now. If I find anything, I'll let you know. Thanks for the info! :D

I think it is possible. And yes, let me know, because I only have the Wii version of Pikmin 1, who isn't recognized by my CD drive (the CD can only be read by a Wii or special drives).

I found a few on Amazon, but all of them are about 85-90$ (American dollars) so they are pretty expensive, although I'm sure you can find them for cheaper somewhere else :)

Garage sales, maybe ? Just throwing a few ideas in.

That's actually not a bad idea!

That's neat however I don't think I'll be doing it anytime soon since I got a Wii and GCN that still works. Maybe Nintendo can make games for the PC so you don't have to buy a console to play your games but just use your PC and a reader-type device.

I doubt Nintendo will make PC games. However, you can turn their consoles into PC. (Yes, people managed to port some Linux distributions to both the Wii and the GameCube, which is nothing more finally than a PowerPC [about the architecture])

And also, as I said this is a rather buggy debugging feature, but who knows, maybe more GC games have them, and maybe even some Wii games have them.

(Off-Nintendo: Oh, and also, it seems like some early Xbox 360 games can run on some Mac PowerPC, since early SDK compiled for the PowerPC, and developers were told to use the Power Mac G5 as a dev platform. That's what happen when you overuse a computer architecture.)

Cool running pickmin without emulator while the emulator is a pain in the neck and i feel uncomfortable using it but it might be bad for you're pc and may not work on low ones.

Well, since it requires a OpenGL compatible graphic card, don't expect it to run on Windows ME/2000/NT 4.
And, also, hope you have a good graphic card/chipset, because it's still GameCube, and well, Nintendo generally optimize the hell out of their games (explaining why they don't go for supposed-to-be-overpowered* hardware like the two others).

(*Yes, because their hardware are already beaten by some 8-core CPUs, and blah-de blah too much technical stuff :p)

Seems like it would be cool! I might try this out sometime if I have some free time and access to the web ;") and I don't think Nintendo will ever make PC games either! Its just not Nintendo's thing! Personally, I think they should stick to handheld and home consoles anyways.

No thanks, I'd rather have a remaster.
Get Pikimin 1 and 2 for Wii and play it in Wii Mode on the Wii U.
Do it, or Nintendo shall sue you.
I'm only joking, but seriously, do it.
