i know it a little lte to make a post about ryu but the smash updates are gunna end so i am going to do a rewiew and say how to play the character right before feb 3.ryu is a strong character and a force to be wreakened with so stratergy 1 is DONT BECOME A AIR FIGHTER because his up b is not the best and can easily can be punished.strratergy 2 use his fireball and hadoken to make space between the enemy if he or her is getting to hasty. stratergy 3 when at enough damage use your down b to stop him and finsh him off.

Well if you want to help with air attack you want to spike them up. Then you want to jump and hit him to the side. Then hurry up and jump again then do side b and before he lands do his b move. That's what I do and that does like 80 damage then it's basically a no brainier you will win with still 0 damage done to you. That's what I think is a good combo for ryus air attack.
