There is a Safari but it's different than the Safari where you get 30 safari pokeballs,

You can visit a friend's Safari from your friend list and they all contain different Pokemon. The more people you know who play the game, the more people's Safari you can visit to catch different Pokemon.

It's one location with separate areas. If you're wondering, it's single player gameplay. You just have to pick a friend to visit a Safari. Each Safari can have 2-3 different Pokemon of a type (I think it's 3 if the friend finished the game).

you can catch different Pokemon in the safari, some not even available in the game. I think if your friend is online or you have traded with them then they will have 3 pokes in their safari, not sure though.
