I had TWO devestating shiny fails in a day.

I was SOS chaining Sneasels, and a shiny Sneasel appeared. Yay! I switched to my False Swiper...
"Sneasel called for help!"
"..."

No. No. NOOOO.
Another shiny! This means I have to kill one!!!
So I did. I killed it, tragically. Goodbye Sneasel. Poor Sneasel.

I learned that you should never kill the calling Pokemon without paralyzing the shiny first (so it cant call for help) I swore to do that next time.

So I was doing Shuppet. Shiny Shuppet appeared! Yay! I looked in my party. %@#$. I forgot to give my Mew Thunder Wave! AAAA.
I killed the calling Shuppet and prayed that it would not call.

"Shuppet called for help!"
"..."

Yeah game, I forgot my Thunder Wave. You don't need to rub it in! Seriously.

So yeah, two shiny fails in one day. Share yours.

I decided to SOS Dratini. All's good. Found handfuls of Dragonair, even a couple Dragonite! Then around 700 SOS chains a Shiny Dratini appeared (OH BOY!) I killed the other and that Dratini called for help. Guess what appeared? Yep you guessed it... another shiny Dratini. Through trembling hands I killed it. But then the first shiny used outrage! Tried catching it, but it just got confused and died. RIP. Two shinies gone.

You silly goof ball. You had two shinies, and couldn't catch even one. XD

It was the first time I played Pokemon Platinum I was going through Mt. Coronet and I found a Shiny Graveler. I didn't have Quick balls on me at the time so I threw an Ultra ball. It broke out on the third shake and used Self Destruct but it doesn't end there the very next encounter was also a Shiny Graveler and it also broke out on the 3rd shake and used Self Destruct!

It was the first time I played Pokemon Platinum I was going through Mt. Coronet and I found a Shiny Graveler. I didn't have Quick balls on me at the time so I threw an Ultra ball. It broke out on the third shake and used Self Destruct but it doesn't end there the very next encounter was also a Shiny Graveler and it also broke out on the 3rd shake and used Self Destruct!

Those shiny Graveler fail stories happen all the time...wait you had two of them? AAAA that's awful!!

It was the best/worst luck I ever had moral of the story is buy Quick balls.

Oh wow. Whats the chance of that? That must've been extremely heartbreaking! I never failed random encounters and I hope I never do! I fiund two random encounter shinies before: Chansey in Ultra Sun and Yungoos in Sun. That Yungoos was also the first Pokemon i found in the grass, which made it even more exciting!

Or save your Master Ball! Always save the Master Ball for a Self-destructing shiny!!

If I ever find a random encounter Graveler I'd probably faint it or it'd faint itself. I have terrible luck when it comes to catching pokemon! So bad even a master ball probably would break open...

I was chaining for a shiny Shinx in generation IV a few years ago. Remember the good old days?
I got the chain up to 40, found another Shinx, ko'd it, kept going. And then... chain breaks for no reason!? Ahhhh, I love generation IV.
That was a bummer, but as I was walking out of the grass, A SHINY MACHOP APPEARED!? WOW!
So, does that count as a fail? I did get a shiny Machop out of it... Next stop: shiny Cresselia!

Hey thats really lucky! Good job finding it! The only random encounter shinies I've ever encountered were Yungoos and Chansey in Gen 7. All my other shinies were intentional.

I don't think that counts as a fail but its still very exciting! I can imagine your face when that machop appeared! I love shinies.
