Okay this is a pretty stupid question but...do shiny Pokémon pop up in friend safaris?

Also I just got shiny charm (pain in the tail it was) and I sort of went berserk and had gone on a excited spree of dashing through the grass but no shiny Pokémon emerged.

Is there a certain way I need to do things to get one? I saw on the internet that I need to use repel, the PokéRadar, and walk in a certain patch of grass. I tired that for a few days and nothing.

Do you guys who have encountered shiny Pokémon have any tips? Or is breeding easier?

Well they do but and are more likely to just pop up than in regular grass but the shiny charm doesn't help increase the odds any. Some good tips to find dem shinys are:

1. Dexnav- It's ORAS only but it not ony can hook in shinys fairly quickly, the more you do it with a single Pokemon the chances of good IVs, Hidden Abilitys, Special Moves, Rare Items will begin to appear and it does increase the chances of getting a shiny. You search for a Pokemon, knock it out or catch it and search for the same Pokem you just KOed again. If another Pokemon interupts the cycle you have to continue on with that Pokemon.

2. Just Spam Sweet Sent/Honey- That's it. Walk into grass and use Sweet Sent/Honey. It spawns a horde battle and as it doesn't increase your chances over time it does allow you to face multiple Pokemon therefore allowing you to a better chance to encounter shinys.

3. Chain Fishing- Find a closed in space (it helps increase your chances of not getting the "Nothing seems to be biting...") and fish in that one spot, KOing, catching or running from the Pokemon, without moving from your original spot until you get a shiny of the Pokemon you want. One thing worth noting is that the Pokemon first caught needs to be the one you repeatedly catch to keep the chain goings-on. This does increase your chances but there aren't alot of different Pokemon you can get from fishing.

4. Soft Reset- This is only for catching legendary shinys (The Holy Grail of Pokemon). Some legendarys are shiny locked meaning they are impossible to be found shiny but simply find a legendary's resting spot save in front, and encounter them. If they aren't shiny then hold L&R the press Select and try again. But really this take a SUPREME amount of time because you're just encountering the same Pokemon over and over without increasing your odds.

Hope this helps!
