Finding a shiny is always exciting, some way or another. Onixpected or just that "FINALLY FOUND YOU YOU LITTLE-" feeling. Just giddy and happy to know you've come across a Pokemon that's really hard to find.

Now, since I'm a person that has a lot of time to waste - I've recently picked up shiny hunting. I have one thing to say about it: Patience.
You need a lot of that plus determination to keep going. Heck, I get bored and stop at my fifth encounter sometimes. May it be searching in the Friend Safari, DexNav, or chain fishing... it's hard to keep treading on. I know that feeling, and I'm sure a couple of you reading this have too!

So that get's the point where I'm asking what stories you guys have to share about your shiny finds~!
I have a story to share, too. Yesterday, I suddenly decided to hunt for a shiny Dedenne. I just had it set in my mind I need one of those adorable Pikachu clones that look like smores in their shiny forms. Luckily, I had a Friend Safari area with Dedenne in them and I started my search. Hours passed, and not a single thing even shined for me. Passing my time as I let my character ride their bike in circles endless amount of times (I feel sorry for them, they must've been dizzy after twelve hours of looking), I had my sound on mute as I was listening to some music. I just happened to slide my volume up when
"shing!"
The Pokemon that shined? Was it Dedenne? Was my search finally over? My heart dropped as I saw on my screen a poor Helioptile that looked like it had gotten a horrible sunburn. I caught it, even though I knew I'd never use it. More hours passed, until the clock chimed 12AM. When I get passed twelve hours, I'm not stopping. There was no way I was gonna stop. My luck couldn't be that bad riiight? WRONG! It was 2AM in the morning when I finally saw sparkles. It was...
Beautifully burnt. Another shiny Helioptile. I was tired, frustrated, but there this little persistent part of me that kept going. So I did. At 3:35AM, I found the Dedenne at last. Chibichu is his name, and I caught him in a Luxury ball. Do you want to know what I did when I came into Pokemon Amie to play with him?

I smacked the little furball's face with my stylus. :giggle: Snapshot_20151221.JPG
Now please share you stories!

i love shinies. only some of them though. i always wanted a pink or green richu but i dont think they come in those colors. i once found a turquoise boltoy in the desert of alpha sappire but i lost it cause my nephew deleted my game. but i just figured i could always try to find a new one later. i acually wasnt looking for any shinies and it just so happend to pop up.

I have the most absolutely worst luck finding shinies. The only shiny that I found- on my own- was in a swarm of Spindas. I wasn't even looking for shinies. It just popped up. So for the past few weeks, I've been hunting down shinies using the PokéRadar and I have yet to find one. I even tried to find another in Hordes on Route 10 but again, no luck.

I have the worst luck with shiny hunting, I often come across shiny Pokémon in Wonder Trade. Though I did catch a shiny Zoroark on my dads birthday! :D

I have a weird luck/bad luck finding shinies. Either it's the shiny i want or it isn't (which it mostly isn't) and its just some random shiny Pokemon that i get anyway.
So i finally decided to fish chain and hunt for a shiny Relicanth. After a good 14 tries... i heard that SHING noise and i ACTUALLY found it in less then 30 mins:eek:. Then i decided to chain again for a Shiny Seadra or Dragalge and somewhere in my 30-40th try i heard another SHING.... it was another shiny Relicanth
i gave up:meh:

I don't know why people hunt for shinies. Its just a alternate color for a pokemon. I tried hunting for it and no luck also no FUN AT ALL. Its more fun to hunt rare Yo-kai than to hunt shinies. But I know shinies are worth alot so I might go shiny hunting again or probably not. Takes too much precious time for a different color for a pokemon.

For me its just the rarity of having a powerful alternative colored pokemon that other people would willingly trade anything for. And some shinies just look better then their normal counterparts
