Should Animal Crossing have random online villages?

I always thought it would be fun if you could connect to some online village via wifi and hang out with other people playing the game from across the world. This would allow you to meet and chat with different people who are enjoy the same game as you. What are your thoughts?
 
I think Tortimer's Island fits that desciption well enough.

yes tortimer island is like it but if there were like a combined dream town thing where you and some friends or random people could visit a dream town together that would be cool. but i dont think that they will do this anytime soon, i think the most updates they will do are to add new dlc and not anything else.
