Should I get this game and how good is it?

This game is really a good game and I would suggest that you get it if you don't have any other games that you might want . The game is really really fun but you might find it a bit easy if your used to challenging stuff but still this is a good game to get to play casually so you should get it :p

The game is good but to be honest I was disappointed with it. The game for the most part was too easy, except for a couple of 'cheap' levels. If you've already played a bunch of Mario platformers, especially the Wii/WiiU ones, then you're in for pretty much the exact same thing. If you want a solid, if somewhat easy platformer though then go ahead.

I haven`t played 3d land. However, I own 3D world for Wii U, and they are very similar to each other. The game is fun, and if it is the 3ds game that you want the most, go for it. However, in my opinion there are better 3ds games out there, but you might already own them, or you are not interested in them.

This game is pretty generic, besides the 3D graphics, it looks pretty, but it doesn't hold much value. But if you really want to try this game out, that's all fine. The regular stages for this game are super easy, more for casual play. Then when you beat the regular stages, a kind of parallel form of stages appear, and these ones are super difficult, especially if you're going for all three coins. The levels go from one extreme to another. This game is a good memory, but it's not one of the best in the series. But don't let my review hold you back, you might actually like it more than some.

Not sure. I guess this decision would depend on your preferences. It is a real casual game though. I myself didn't play it for too much and went on to mh3u. I think that you should probably try it out a bit first to see if it is the game for you before buying it.

I would recommend this game quite strongly, in my personal opinion. The final decision, however, depends on what type of gameplay you enjoy.

The game itself uses the 3-Dimensional gameplay feel found in games such as Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. (The closest comparison would be to that of the DS port of Super Mario 64) However, the level layout and artistic design shows much more resemblance to some of the newer mario games. (The best example being New Super Mario Brothers, with a few subtle Super Mario Galaxy elements) It uses a fixed angle scrolling camera to follow the player, and adds in a few new power-ups, specifically the boomerang and a redesign of the tanooki suit. It is one of the less difficult games in the Mario collection, but it still provides a decent challenge in an enjoyable arcade-like manor.

In closing, I would highly recommend it to any fan of Super Mario 64. It is a decent buy that will ultimately leave you quite satisfied.

I have it, iIt's a nice game. In the game there is more than 70 levels I think

This. I totally agree. I am terrible with platformers yet I still found it easy, not much of a challenge so far.

It's a nice game, there are a lot of levels and to play it 100% you will play the same levels 2 times or more and there are 8 worlds with 3 or 4 stages each one I think and the 3D effect on this game is fantastic, and after you finish these 8 worlds you unlock more 8 special worlds, the game is really nice and the "gold stage" is very difficult to unlock and to finish it. I think this is the best Mario game for Nintendo 3DS, so I think you should get it.

Ok I got the info you need! (copy from my thread):
Super Mario 3D Land:
A great game with 16 worlds with 8 levels each world I think. The game is more difficult when you beating the 8 first worlds.
Power ups:

Fire Mario: Like the old games, you can get this power-up and you can shoot fire, pretty cool, huh?

Super Star: you can be ultimate and no one can beat you.

Mushroom: Mario is getting big.

Raccon Mario: you can kill with your tail and fly if you are running without any break.

Propellor: you can fly until a monster hits you. It can be founded in a ? block or a propellor (like ? block but its propellor)

Boomerang: you can soot a bomerang.

Invincibility Mario: The Invincibility Leaf (also called Invincible Super Leaf) is a power-up that first appeared in Super Mario 3D Land. This power-up is very similar to the Super Leaf, but with added invincibility.

P - Wing: If you lose 10 lifes in a course you are getting the P - wing that makes you flying to the end of the course.

Statue Mario: In worlds 9 - 16 you can find a Statue Leaf that you can be a statue + the Raccon mario that you can fly and kill with your tail.

Hope it helps you!

Do not get this if you already played 3d world

Super Mario 3d Land is a good game, and it is worth playing, even if you already own 3d world. However, I would choose that game over this one. (More levels, open world map, captain toad levels, HD graphics, more playable characters.)

Its really a general Mario game in which you have to save a princess as usual but it is pretty good and has a good amount of levels for you to play but to be honest i'm sure when you beat the game you're going to get tired of this.

You should get Super Mario 3D Land its lots of fun to play. The worlds are very cool, interesting and challenging to be honest. I kinda wish this game was multiplayer but that's okay. I mostly play Luigi than Mario. The levels of Super Mario 3D Land are much more linear and compact than the other 3D titles, more along the lines of the side-scrolling games. Levels rather have a time limit and even feature Goal Poles, a staple of the original Super Mario Bros. and the New Super Mario Bros. games, as opposed to Power Stars or Shine Sprites, as the level goals.

It's a pretty good 3DS game, in my opinion. Not the best by any means, but it's still good. There is plenty of replay value, the levels are open to some form of exploration, and the acrobatics are fun for most levels. On the other hand, most of the levels are rather run-of-the-mill, the game is FAR too easy, and the pacing of the game can feel a bit slow at times. If none of this bothers you, then I would recommend giving this game a shot!
