I want to get super mario ''64'' but dont no wether to get the original or remake.

Its going to be played on my wii u via virtual consoul so its on a tv

The original Mario 64 obviously. 64 DS has got 30 stars more but the controls just feel clunky and whats even worse:
You have to switch characters A LOT and switching characters isn't something done fast. There is only one room in the castle where you can switch and if you need to get another character you have to either go there or run through the whole level to get the cap. If you want a better experience where you can just keep goin into a level and get the stars, the original game is way better. Just my opinion tho. If you don't care being send around all the time and you are interested in the 30 stars and 3 boss battles that were added go for 64DS. Not saying it's a bad game. I just think it cannot compare to the original.

Original without a doubt.

Project 64.

Project 64.
"not good enough" Yeah, what you said to play it on isn't.

Um, what?

The originals. I'd say originals should always be a first choice, but that may not always be the case. For this however, you can't go wrong with the original. It is pure gold and just classic.

Thanks I'll get 64

unless you have a 3ds playing the ds version you are going to have a hard time playing the game with a d-pad. Even then the ds version starts you off with Yoshi. they tried to edit the story a little when making the game. So yes I think you should get the original.

The Nintendo 64 version has MUCH better controls and the bigger screen makes it more fun too, while the DS one only adds some relatively unimportant things to make the game longer (eg: more stars), in exchange for having awful controls! I suggest you get the N64, as it'll be considerably more enjoyable and fun to play without having annoying controls to worry about!

What do you mean !!!

That depends on whether or not you have a 3DS. The controls on 64 DS are absolutely horrid on the original DS, but the game is actually more enjoyable than maybe even the original when played on the 3DS due to the huge control improvement from having a joystick instead of a D-pad. Also, the DS version has 30 additional stars, and 3 additional playable characters (including Wario!)
